Like life, Christianity happens. Many a victory and defeat, joy and sorrow, shaped the following observations from 2011 - 2020.

So much so, I've often wondered how to honestly answer the simple question, "How's it going?" Sometimes I borrow Paul Lynde's famous line regarding the Rat Race, "
The rats are winning." Other times the best response seems, "Not as well as hoped or poorly as feared."

Before Eternity's Judgment there will be no rationalizations. Some issues need no explanations. For others, no explanation will suffice.  


For one ardently endeavoring to please Christ in whom it is written, "all the promises of God are yes and amen" I sure get a lot of no's.

Reasoning through the unreasonable, whether with God or man, seems as important as it does thankless.

Chess is difficult as a pawn with greater skill and aspiration than bishops.

The difference between reptiles and mammals is the former live to eat while the later eat to live.  The difference between folly and wisdom is the former's focus on today and the later's on eternity.

Scripture promises humble souls who spend their days weeping over sin and the lost shall spend eternity enraptured in glory.  And vice versa.  

I live with the constant dread of time and eternity, running out of one and into the other.

Only a fool clings to atheism in a fox hole. This speaks volumes in regards to the wholesale abandonment of God by mortal men.
