Judge All Things

The Bible is many things, but perhaps nothing so much as a cautionary tale. Full of warnings and encouragements, Scripture is a constant reminder that with Hell to loose and Heaven to gain, we are called to "Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly."

While compliance with such verses are foundational to every aspect of
Biblical Christianity, perhaps nowhere more so than when dealing with the principles and practices of modern Christianity within the Protestant, and particularly Charismatic church.


Spiritual people evaluate everything but are subject to no one’s evaluation.

Modern life is full of nothing if not mixed messages from every source imaginable. Today, tens of thousands of TV shows and movies, music videos and recording artists instantly come to life wherever and whenever we want. Add to this smart phones and computers of every variety accessing the global internet and media 24/7 and our ability to communicate rivals that of mythological gods.

Unfortunately such information is
not only overflowing with input, but trillions of dollars are spent to directly and indirectly manipulate mankind as a marketable audience. Sadly, many of modern media’s most lucrative works are heavily laced with immorality and worse. Energized by the 1960’s sexual revolution, such a strategy has revised the internal and external lives of billions, in a single generation all but dissolving traditional bonds of family and friends in favor of the original sin of entitlement and Me-ism.

More tragic still is the toll such an onslaught of
temptation and deception has taken on Churchianity. Rather than be the salt and light society so desperately needs at this late hour, by and large we’ve succumbed to more subtle yet equally spiritually toxic worldliness and sin. True for a variety of reasons, chief among them is a growing lack of concern over the things of God. Overflowing with previously unknown blessings of every kind, fewer and fewer invest the time and energy to prayerfully and diligently read much less accurately and honestly study Scripture. Worse still, growing levels of apathy are reinforced, if not created by, misleading popular doctrines such as unconditional love and eternal security. Rather than teaching “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth…so help me God” by earnestly investigating what the Bible actually says about such topics as repentance and salvation, sanctification and sin, fellowship and worship billions just wing it, believing (or not) whatever version of the gospel and Christ they happen upon.

Much of this confusion arises as a result of an assault on the
reasonableness of faith. Worldly doctrine and lifestyles, synergized by the claim that science has disproved the authority of Scripture, is turning hundreds of millions of “believers” into practicing agnostics. Biblically illiterate, the vast majority of church attenders are unable to quote even 10 verses in a row. Prayerless, most of these same church-goers take less than 10 minutes a day to stop and pray. Such casual seekers failure to diligently invest in truth leaves them woefully unaware of Scripture’s answers to life’s ultimate questions and compelling reasons to believe. Including the absolute and scientific certainty of the existence of God. A fact, in part demonstrated by the fantastic fine tuning and astounding intricacies of actual intelligent design. Amazing scientific discoveries described millennia ago in Biblical passages include a testable model of creation that encompasses many modern discoveries in the areas of astronomy and physics, biology and human origins, earth science and understanding the universe.

For Christians familiar with or simply wishing to skip over all the above, some additional points of contention arise requiring
spiritual sensitivity and discernment. Two important issues among these are:

  1. Are the gifts of the Spirit meant to be active today? Answer: Yes.
  2. If so, how should they be tested for authenticity? Answer: Diligently.
Having established that Spiritual gifts are meant to be active today (see prior links) the question of authenticity naturally arises. Often addressed by the Apostle Paul, one passage in particular provides an excellent summary:

  • Get along among yourselves, each of you doing your part. Our counsel is that you warn the freeloaders to get a move on. Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each other’s nerves you don’t snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it out. Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what’s good. Throw out anything tainted with evil. May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!” 1 Thessalonians 5:13-24 MSG
While the directive to not “suppress the Spirit” seems straightforward, how best do we “check out everything and keep only what’s good.” These same verses are rendered as follows in the Amplified Bible:

  • Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit; Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning]. But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast. Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be.” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 AMP
Given Christ’s harsher sayings and His judgments of His church, it can be a costly and even eternal mistake to simply assume salvation. For those endeavoring to know God’s will, discerning between faith and presumption is essential. Particularly when genuine faith by definition requires some level of expectation. The answer to the puzzle is this: presuming is not presumptuous to the degree we exchange our all for God’s. Yet be warned. while gifts of God like faith and grace are generally viewed as an encouraging forces for good nevertheless Scripture directly and indirectly repeatedly warns that God is not mocked. Many well meaning believers have at times willfully or even inadvertently moved beyond presumption to profanity (treating the holy as common). A serious and sometimes deadly mistake. For this and a myriad of reasons, it’s best to approach God with brokenness and contrition, repentance and reverent fear. Honesty, what God desires most from mankind, is always the best policy. Frequently confessing that Omnity is the great I AM, and I am nothing great is good start. As is creating and memorizing a strategic daily prayer that respectfully yet purposefully weaves back and forth in ever increasing levels of repentance to intercession. Spiritual Discernment

Scripture explains “the spiritual man judges all things.” The question is how? GodBlog suggest Quantum Christianity’s major tenants and Quick Start Guide. We also offer the following 10 Step Check List as an aid in the spiritual practice of learning to discern genuine prophecy from various forms of presumption. Clearly not inclusive, the following should give diligent seekers of truth some basic tools necessary to obey Christ’s command to judge with righteous judgment.

1. Rules of Unity and Emphasis: There are at least seven rules for Biblical interpretation widely accepted among Christendom. Given that all of Scripture is God-breathed by the same Holy Spirit who’s gifts and fruit we seek, it stands to reason that learning the language of Scripture is of primary importance. Among these, rules such as Usage and Context might be summed in the concept of Unity. In other words, Scripture is the best interpreter of Scripture, as well as attempts at modern prophecy and personal words. GB also endorses the Rule of Emphasis used to assess the importance the Bible, and therefore God, places on a subject or topic, directive or warning, promise or condition.

2. Original Sin of Entitlement: The Bible explains sin originated long before Adam and Eve, in of all places, Heaven itself. The campaign of sin spread to infect the history of Heaven and eventually Earth’s. Entitlement mars mankind's every thought, word and deed. Never since the fall of Lucifer and his Heavenly rebel angels, and Adam and Eve's betrayal of innocence, has entitlement run so rampant as in our generation. Given blessings unprecedented in human history, taking God for granted, if not denying Omnity completely, has become the order of the day. This tragic fact is mirrored in most of Laodicean style prophecies if one looks close enough.

3. Wisdom from Above vs. Below: To fully explain the motivation and rationale behind mankind's behavior, the Bible reveals our attitudes and actions arise from one of two sources. Scripture identifies the wisdom from above as "pure, peaceful and gentle" while the wisdom from below is "earthly, sensual and demonic." The salient point is that the Bible identifies worldliness as a form of wisdom. An insight the careful observer can use to distinguish between the subtleties of the great Savior’s philosophy “I will decrease” and the “I will increase” of the great Satan.

4. Sanctification and the Fear of God: Understanding the issues of personal and corporate sanctification are crucial to the Christian life. A critical part of the teaching of Jesus and His apostles, righteousness and living faith are meant to be expressed in every aspect of a believer’s life. Fear of God, far from being the anathema reported today, is more often than not commanded of the faithful as a vital component of living faith. Scripture clearly reveals the New Testament authors agreed with their predecessors that the fear of the awesome and awful God is not only the beginning of wisdom but the mortar that holds the bricks of faith in place. Most modern Christian sermons or songs, practices or prophesies leave out both these issues, leaving congregants with half a gospel or less. This trend is so ubiquitous that the astute prophetic Christian quickly becomes a meat vs. milk critic in regards these missing all important ingredients.

5. Biblical Salvation: While life is filled with important issues, the question "What must I do to be saved?” reigns supreme. The Bible holds the eternal answer, yet with over 750,000 words, it's challenging to discover the most important of scripture's directives regarding Biblical Salvation. The sad fact that most of popular doctrine and prophecies are in conflict with the plain and simple teaching of Christ and His apostles often makes recognizing balls and strikes and easy call.

6. Promises and Conditions: The Bible is full of over a thousand "great and precious promises.” Scripture is also replete with over six thousand commands and conditions. Sadly, Churchianity mistakenly focuses on the former to the near exclusion of the latter. So much so, even when presented with chapter and verse on such vital issues as repentance and judgment hundreds of millions remain apathetic and worse. The reason for such hardened hearts is the widespread practice of “interpreting the conditions by presuming possession of the promises instead of recognizing the promises are received by meeting their corresponding conditions.”

7. Understanding the Times: Christ’s judgment of the church in the Book of Revelation proceeding John’s prophecy of the Great Tribulation is bad enough. Yet Jesus reserved His harshest words for Christian teachers who fail to provide timely and accurate instruction regarding the unique challenges of the Times and Seasons in which they live. The cheap grace of much of today’s doctrines and “words from God” are in direct or indirect opposition to the kind of radical discipleship Jesus and His apostles both lived and taught.

8. Clarion Call to Arms: The Bible repeatedly warns against false prophets and teachers who fail to call God’s people to prepare for judgment claiming instead “peace when there is no peace.” Paul also warns, Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?” With our dismal record of having allowed morality to be inverted in a single generation, not to mention the clinical and contraceptive abortion of well over a billion (5-10 times the entire planet’s population in Christ’s day) any supposedly Christian doctrine or prophetic word not long on repentance and short on tolerance is clearly misguided at best. Given it’s one thing to fight and fail and another to fail to fight, clearly worldliness has metastasized throughout the body of modern Christianity. The chemotherapy for which is is found in James 4:1-10 written by the Lord’s own half brother. A clarion call to brokenness the likes of which few fellowships dare even contemplate. All the more so as the stage is set for the prophesied last chapter of human history to unfold!

9. Prophetic Advice: The Bible provides prophetic advice for just such a time as this.  Including a formula for repentance good for what ails us. Scripture also contains an explanation and example of how to call the Sacred or Solemn Assembly. Modern teaching and directive words not incorporating these themes show themselves to be more pathetic than prophetic.

10. New Pentecost: A honest assessment of our current and coming situation reveals the need for a unprecedented revival, if not reformation. Given modern levels of temptation and deception, gross immorality and sin such an outpouring would require an unprecedented pre-revival repentance in hopes of sowing the seeds for nothing short of a new Pentecost with an immediate global impact of million upper rooms.

Careful Scriptural archeology and Biblical forensics reveals much. By stitching scores of passages together, a theological theme emerges revealing Who created the multiverse and why. The truth about Lucifer's Rebellion and how it effects Heaven and Earth. How the trial in Eternity's Supreme Court overflows into the affairs of men.

It can’t be overstated that according to the context of Scripturespiritual conflict is not a mythical analogy, but rather eternity’s realityIn fact, in a variety of ways, a myriad of Biblical passages attest to the unpleasant fact that all creation is at war with (alongside or against) God. There is no neutral territory.


Down through millennia Scripture continues to whisper and shout there is far more going on than is immediately apparent. This is why the Bible warns that God’s promise of reward is reserved for those diligently, rather than casually, seeking Him. With Hell to loose and Heaven to gain, could even Omnity provide greater motivation? Primary reasons for both Old Testament narratives and the New Testament's call to arms. Yet, for a variety of reasons, the overwhelming vast majority of modern Christians refuse to accept Biblical insight and warning. Nevertheless, comprehension of the context of Scripture is vital to understanding its content. While no longer in vogue, Scripture's context is most certainly one of warfare theology. Like the whodunnit story of Job, considered by many to be the oldest Book of the Bible and perhaps its key codex, conflict between God the "Lord of Hosts" (angel armies) and Satan the "prince of the power of the air" (god of this world), provides the backdrop to Job's story. And much, if not all, the entire Old and New Testaments. As exemplified in a couple of familiar passages referencing conflict with the fallen angelic:

  • "When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross." Colossians 2:15 AMP

  • " Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." 1 John 3:7-8 NKJV 
Such verses and scores of other conflict Scriptures suggest the content of Scripture can only be fully understood by embracing the Bible's overarching context. A task for which modern Christianity, not to mention the developed world, are ill equipped. Not surprising when the the vast majority of Christians are not only prayerless (stopping to pray less than 5-10 minutes a day) but Biblically illiterate (unable to quote, much less rightly understand and apply even 5-10 verses in a row). 

When it comes to a nearly wholesale misunderstanding and/or under appreciating of Scripture, from its basic tenants to eschatology, only the context of conflict theology can make sense pf both modern Christianity's state of woeful deception and flagrant disregard for the Bible's clear and concise commands. Including Scripture's emphasis on sanctification and the virtue of fear, the harsh sayings of Jesus and Revelation's account of Christ's judging His Church

An essential element of Biblical faith is to what degree we appropriately responded to the ramifications of conflict theology. If Christianity’s a cruise ship, sailing merrily from here to Heaven, then certainly Christ's costly atonement is sufficient. The cross of Christ is indeed all anyone could ever need. If however, Heaven and Earth are currently at war with fallen angels and devils, Christianity is a battleship and we must follow our Commander and Chief's example and directives by daily shouldering our own.

Even if Christianity could be likened to a pleasure cruise, given Churchianity’s collision course with so many modern temptations and deceptions, up to an including immorality and the blood red mountainous iceberg of abortion, in certain respects might even many well intended ministries be reduced to simply arranging deck chairs on the Titanic?

So is Christianity a cruise or gunship? We must decide. And do so quickly and carefully. Military directives and drills, cramped quarters and sea rations, would be absurd on a pleasure cruise. So too, civilian itineraries and activities, opulent suites and sumptuous banquets, would be anathema during a time of war.  

The Bible's full of passages detailing the havoc caused by the great and fallen Archangel once called Lucifer or in Hebrew הילל בן־שׁחר Helel Ben-Shachar. Like the gravitational force of dark matter and energy, the effects of his ancient angelic rebellion and current campaign of temptation and terrorencompass the entire Earth.

There are hundreds of Bible verses directly and indirectly referencing Satan's significance. Specific passages in the New King James Version include the usage of the name Lucifer (1), Satan (54), Devil (34), Dragon (13) and Evil One (5). Additionally, Scripture's use of words such as temptation (13), deception (6), pain (43), death (428), evil (491) and sin (1153) can be indirectly attributed to the architect of disobedience.

Previous generations understood the serious nature of the spiritual war in which we are engulfed. Its reality filled their prayers and even worship. Reflecting the difficulties of their day, traditional hymns were infused with Scripture. Filled with inspiring lyrics of loyalty and camaraderie, their melodies were meant to encourage and provide solace in the face of hardship. Like bugle calls to reveille, such battle songs of heaven's republic served as constant reminders of the blessed hope the faithful have in God.

Today, not so much. Seeker friendly and inappropriately intimate worship has largely replaced the kinds of beloved hymns of deliverance once sung around the world.



Cliff Notes/Cheat Sheet


In keeping with the list of items above, GB provides the following quick look “Cliff Notes/Cheat Sheet” that some may find helpful in the development of basic discernment skills. The following may be considered “Red Flag” issues of great enough Biblical significance as to attest to whether a teaching or prophetic word is in sync with Scripture. These include the need for wholesale repentance (halt, about face, march) regarding:

A. Serious Bible Study: Any church or ministry, group or individual not calling for immediate and in depth repentance from the plague of Biblical illiteracy can hardly be expecting adherents to obey the God of Scripture.

B. Personal and Family Prayer: Teachers not insisting on a return to daily and strategic personal prayer have yet to understand the obvious fact that “without prayer we haven’t got one.” Any Christian fellowship or parent not involved in weekly if not daily meetings for the purpose of deep intercession for lost family and friends, neighbors and the world, has yet to discern “what the Spirit is saying to the churches.”

C. Corporate Prayer: In a single generation Churchianity’s been driven back into our own end zone. Any church or ministry, group or individual not heavily invested in frequent and lengthy honest weekly if not daily prayer meetings has yet to have their hard heart softened to the point of Kingdom brokenness.

D. Appropriate Response to Immorality: Given the inversion of morality on our watch, not to mention the subtle temptations and deceptions unique to modern life, inability to hear God’s call for radical repentance and discipleship equates to spiritual deafness.

E. Authentic Pro-Life Activism: Clinical and contraceptive abortion has turned the womb into the most dangerous place on earth. Christ warned, whatever we’ve done or failed to do to the least of these we’ve done or failed to do to Him. Scripture’s teachings on living faith make it imperative Churchianity quickly come to terms with abortion’s devastating effects on prayer and worship, fellowship and even salvation.

F. Sanctification of Marriage: Scripture makes serious demands on families, the foundations of which are crumbling outside and inside modern Christianity. Messages glossing over this issue are suspect to superficial understand of God’s warning that He will curse the blessing of His own people who profane (treat as common) the purpose for this institution.

G. God and Money: Failure to acknowledge Christ’s challenging teachings in regards to worldliness and money, such as the Rich Young Ruler and Rich Man and Lazarus, reveal spiritual immaturity or worse. Messages not sensitive to the plight of the impoverished and coming judgment of the rich are untrustworthy.

H. Divine Judgment: Mistaking God’s free offers of love and mercy as unconditional is a modern day “rock of offense” over which 1st World Christendom has fallen from grace into lawlessness. With Divine retribution against all sin a certainty, messages that ignore God’s judgment in time and eternity are greatly suspect.

I. Pre-tribulation Rapture Myth: In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus lays out a simple step by step timeline that ends with His return from Heaven and gathering the elect from the four corners of Earth. Similarly, Paul and John teach a Mid-Tribulation Rapture that comes only after the Antichrist is revealed but before the wrath of God is poured out on mankind. Misunderstanding this central tenant of Scripture is lulling hundreds of millions into a false sense of security.

J. Grasping the Book of Revelation: A failure to understand Heaven’s history and Earth’s future has caused billions to underestimate the Enemy and overestimate their spiritual security. With humanity’s final exam quickly approaching, any church or ministry, group or individual not cramming to overcome the Devil by the blood of the lamb, the word of their testimony and martyrdom is unresponsive to the Spirit’s warning to prepare beforehand that “you might be counted worthy to escape these things.”


Praying For Discernment

Paul directs,
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. In keeping with this sentiment and several of the points mentioned above, we should again hear Paul’s warning, “Be honest in your estimate of yourselves, measuring your value by how much faith God has given you.”

Such honest estimation might begin with prayer.
Serious prayer is more a process than event. An all important journey towards spiritual sensitivity and practice, honesty and discernment with the hope of enabling the dedicated to genuinely learn to pray so God will hear. Steps along this path of regular and lengthly prayer exemplify our level of care as reflected by our diligent and appropriate response to our own needs and those of others:

1. Wishful Thinking: This introductory style of prayer is largely spontaneous and unspoken. It knows little of Scripture or spiritual experience. Disappointment in this arena accounts for billions prematurely deciding Biblical authority and faith is unreasonable thus marking the beginning and end of their pursuit of answering life’s ultimate questions.

2. Prayer On the Go: The next incremental investment for most of Churchianity might loosely be described “phoning it in.” Nearly synonymous “windshield time” it’s basically little more than wishful thinking expressed in few words.

3. Stoping For Prayer: Hundreds of millions recognize the need to at least treat God with the respect of a stranger. Rather than merely tossing out a sentiment on the run, these pause at least a moment now and then to throw a prayer heaven’s way in hopes it will stick. Unfortunately, this represents to the commitment level of the average modern Christian.

4. Attaching A Scripture: Those interested enough to admit septs 1-3 rarely work increase their odds by adding an often “cherry picked” verse supporting their request. Father complicating the matter is the tragic fact the the vast majority of Christians are not only prayerless (stopping to pray less than 5-10 minutes a day) but Biblically illiterate (unable to quote, much less understand and apply even 5-10 verses in a row). This being the case, overwhelmingly those adding a Scriptural promise to generally short somewhat ill informed prayers do so with little or no concern as to the corresponding conditions of such verses.

5. Occasional Intercession: The next common along the path of developing a committed prayer life is occasionally setting investing 30 minutes or more learning and practicing the art of intercession. Generally answers are more miss than hit, leaving believers on of 3 choices. (1) Give up. Some go so far as to create doctrines like the misnomer of “cessation” to support failure. (2) Pretend. The favored choice of hundreds of millions, charismatic or not. (3) Seek God’s face through the study of Scripture - step #3 of God’s true 4 spiritual laws below.

6. If My People: God’s perfect formula for repentance is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. Those brave few authentically putting this simply algebraic formula to practice soon develop the spiritual insight to become prophetic Christians on their way to judging all things.

7. Scheduled Intercession: While upping the ante can be done individually or collectively. When it comes to nearly all Christian disciples it far more effect when both are done in concert. Corporate meetings should reflect a quality and quantity of prayer indicative of the difficulty addressed.

8. Sanctification: Devotees interested in learning to prayer effectually soon feel the need for growth in radical personal and corporate sanctification and discipleship.

9. Pressing In: When even this level of prayer still largely goes unanswered, the committed soldier on through triple fasting (food, prayer and good deeds).

10. Praying Through: When all is said and done, those refusing to take no for an answer redouble their efforts with semi weekly if not daily extended times of practicing 1 or more of the 7 prayer modes listed above. Prayer warriors in every sense of the world, such rare men and women give God no rest, day and night, until they and those for whom they pray are demonstrably filled with fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit to the end of prevailing with men and circumstances, Satan and God.


Appropriate Response

Another helpful example is that of various levels of response and
commitment to the gospel by individuals and society. It’s been noted “We are all telling ourselves a story.” The following graphic emphasizes that knowingly or not, all who have heard the story and claims of Christ are somewhere to be found on the continuum from inappropriate to appropriate response:

Prophetic Christians do well to recognize the quantum nuances of discernment in regards to living faith and Scripture itself. Consider for example Christ’s fearful prophecy regarding “many” who will be shocked to find themselves eternally rejected for the everlasting mistake of confusing presumption with obedience:

  • Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].” Matthew 7:21-23 AMP
Thoughtful Bible students will note that Christ neither agrees or disagrees with the implicit claim of those He rejects. They may or may not have “driven out demons” and/or “done many mighty works” in the name of Jesus. It my prove falsely comforting to assume these were simply liars or at least charlatans. Such presumption seems to remove any worry from out part. Yet in truth, this may well be the rationale used by those having too lightly called Jesus “Lord, Lord.” In any case, it’s reasonable to assume that we are not privy to the validity of their complaint because sadly it does not matter.

Unfortunately “many” of us may be following in the footsteps of these poor souls unaware, either in lifestyle and/or our method of
Biblical interpretation. More careful readers of Scripture have learned the importance of allowing the text to speak for itself. In this case, the universally taught principal of subtraction and addiction may come into play. The Bible’s last Book of Revelation is literally book-shelved between two warnings that weave there way down throughout Scripture, starting with Genesis’ account of Satan’s original temptation of Eve.

  • Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3 NKJV

  • For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18-19 NKJV
While it’s easy to see the Bible is full of directives and warnings, it also full of hope and promise. Thankfully God’s mercy and grace extends to the foibles of believers as the apostle Paul explains:

  • Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” 2 Timothy 2:11-13 NIV
Like so much of Scripture, this encouragement carries stipulations. The promised mercy regarding “faithlessness” does not extend to the point of “denial.” Further complicating the issues is correctly identifying at what point unbelief becomes rejection. A task far less simple than many imagine given the temptation and deceptions, worldliness and sin synonymous with modern life.

What is needed is spiritual balance and equilibrium. In this case, as a decades old prayer partner once noted in regards to resolving the tension between accurately discerning Scripture and the centrality of the Holy Spirit, “Evangelism without prayer is Fruitless, Prayer without Evangelism is Faithless. Scripture without the Spirit is Lifeless, the Spirit without Scripture is Baseless.” With this mind, let us more prayerfully study the Bible, recognizing Scripture itself must be "spiritually discerned."

From doctrine to lifestyle, it requires quantum thinking to wisely navigate between judging (discernment) and judging (condemnation). This is particularly true when dealing with fellow believers. An excerpt from E. G. Carre, “The Praying Hyde or, a Challenge to Prayer,” may provide balance to the points previously offered. John Hyde, the famous and influential missionary to India’s Punjab province, was globally recognized for spending hours as they were minutes in deeply spiritual and often silent prayer. The impact of his ministry is said to have yielded millions of converts. In this excerpt, one of the most spiritually sensitive men to have walked the earth learns an important lesson regarding critical judgment:

  • “Mr. Hyde had a wonderful experience, to which he owed, I believe, his power with God, and therefore with man. He used to speak of it as one of the most direct and solemn lessons God had ever taught him. He was up in the hills resting for a short time. He had been burdened about the spiritual condition of a certain pastor, and he resolved to spend time in definite intercession for him. Entering into his "inner chamber," he began pouring out his heart to his Heavenly Father concerning that brother somewhat as follows: "O God! Thou knowest that brother how-" "cold" he was going to say, when suddenly a Hand seemed to be laid on his lips, and a Voice said to him in " stern reproach, He that toucheth him, toucheth the apple of Mine eye." A great horror came over him. He had been guilty before God of "accusing the brethren." He had been "judging" his brother. He felt rebuked and humbled before God. It was he himself who first needed putting right. He confessed this sin. He claimed the precious Blood of Christ that cleanseth from all sin! “Whatsoever things are lovely... if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things." Then he cried out, “Father, show me what things are lovely and of good report in my brother's life." Like a flash he remembered how that brother had given up all for Christ, enduring much suffering from, relations whom he had given up. He was reminded of his years of hard work, of the tact with which he managed his difficult congregation, of the many quarrels he had healed, of what a model husband he was. One thing after another rose up before him and so all his prayer season was spent in praise for his brother instead of in prayer. He could not recall a single petition, nothing but thanksgiving! God was opening His servant's eyes to the highest of ministries, that of praise. Mark the result also on that brother's life! When Mr. Hyde went down to the plains, he found that just then the brother had received a great spiritual uplift. While he was praising, God was blessing. A wonderful Divine Law, the law of a Father's love. While we bless God for any child of His, He delights to bless that one! This was the secret of John Hyde's power with God. He saw the good in God's little ones, and so was able to appreciate God’s work of grace in that heart. Hence he supplied the Heavenly atmosphere of praise in which God's love was free to work in all its fullness. This, too, was what gave him power with men. We are attracted to those who appreciate us. All our powers expand in their presence and we are with, them at our best. Hence they call out all that is good in us, and we feel uplifted when with them. To such souls we turn as naturally as the flowers to the sun, and our hearts expand and bloom out with a fragrance that surprises even ourselves.”
Thus sentiment is in perfect keeping with many if not all the authors of the New Testaments. For example Paul notes:

  • Who are you to judge the servant of another? Before his own master he stands [approved] or falls [out of favor]. And he [who serves the Master—the Lord] will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 AMP
Quantumly, this is the same apostle of grace who repeatedly commands Christians to judge all things:

  • But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].” 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 AMP
While cynics and critics too easily dismiss these and many other apparently contradictory passages, prophetic Christians are called to see with better eyes. Such “flags on the field” are meant to mark Biblical passages and principles, while not immediately and easily integrated, are all the more ripe with deep meaning and insight.

James, Christ’s half brother, also exemplifies this concept in what may be the Bible’s most relevant message to
modern Christianity. While all of Scripture’s authors direct God’s people to divest themselves of all forms of elf entitlement, James explains how. He offers a remarkably clear and precise step by step diagnosis and prescription regarding this voracious spiritual cancer:

  • What causes fights and quarrels among you? Aren't they caused by the selfish desires that fight to control you? You want what you don't have, so you commit murder. You're determined to have things, but you can't get what you want. You quarrel and fight. You don't have the things you want, because you don't pray for them. When you pray for things, you don't get them because you want them for the wrong reason-for your own pleasure." James 4:1-3 GWT
In logical and sequential order James identifies the cause and effect of frustration and friction among believers. Continuing, he offers a treatment few if any today are willing to consider:

  • You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.” James 4:4-6 MSG
  • So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people]. Be miserable and grieve and weep [over your sin]. Let your [foolish] laughter be turned to mourning and your [reckless] joy to gloom. Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose].” James 4:7-10 AMP
James’ insightful judgment, delivered in extremely harsh and yet compassionate language, offers Scripture’s most dramatic and practical directives on overcoming worldliness so symptomatic within Churchianity. Equally interesting is how this principal fits into his next warning:

  • Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?” James 4:11-12 NIV
Here again we find seemingly opposing principals, not only by the same author but in the very same passage. Literally sequential, these verses seem to demand believers judge themselves and the tenor of Christian fellowship without judging others.

The takeaway appears to be that while it is of upmost importance to heed Christ’s command to “
judge with righteous judgment” the manner and humility in which we internalize and externalize the results of exercising discernment is equally important. Such efforts, as with much if not all of life, must be handled with soul searching repentance and compassionate prayer.


Times and Seasons

Today's Churchianity is ill prepared to discern, much less confront and overcome, past and present challenges. With hundreds of sects and denominations, clearly we've failed to invested the honest effort to Biblically judge between the many Christs the One true. Tragically, this calls into question to what extent we actually believe, teach and/or obey the genuine gospel.

What of more subtle issues? Up to and including accurately discerning the times and seasons in which we live? Intentionally or unintentionally, modern Christianity has a history of all but upending the obvious meaning of Scripture's most important meta messages. Both in regards to the Bible's context as well as content.

Having repeatedly failed the test on so many levels, what's to be our future? With obvious errors in regards to such major concerns, it's little wonder complex matters requiring 
greater discernment and perception are continually misconstrued. As Jesus warned God's people in His day:

  • "Then he said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once that it is going to rain, and so it does. And when you feel the south wind blowing, you say that it is going to be hot, and so it is. You frauds! You know how to interpret the look of the earth and the sky. Why can’t you interpret the meaning of the times in which you live?” Luke 12:54-46 Phillips
Erroneous doctrines go far beyond profound problems in basic Biblical doctrine and eschatology, such as the misnomer of a pre-tribulation rapture. Consider modern Christianity's response, or lack thereof, to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The modern world has never yet seen its equal. Not since the 1918 Spanish Flu has a pathogen killed so many. Never have billions been forced into extended lockdown. Never has the global economy been in such disarray. Never have non essential businesses, including religious institutions, been ordered to close their doors. Never have Christian churches around the world been shuttered on Easter Sunday.

Such signs of the times bode poorly for modern Christianity, and society as a whole. As do every other indicator imaginable. The threat of present and future global pandemics abound. Economic tribulation reverberates worldwide. Forty three million sought unemployment benefits in the U.S. alone. Coast to coast rioting and lootingviolence and murder, over the justifiable death of career criminal George Floyd went unchecked for months. Not to mention a series of other false martyrs used by AntifaBlack Lives Mater and Democrats to promote and propagate the greatest unchecked anarchy in recent U.S. history. All this while calling to defund the police after already making the crucial job of societies protectors all but impossible.

Scripture is clear such manipulations of facts and logic are forbidden and will prove disastrous for all parties involved:

  • "Doom to you who call evil good and good evilWho put darkness in place of light and light in place of darkness, Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20 MSG
Accompanying the devastating fallout of unprecedented global and national impacts of COVID-19 has been the most obvious and successful campaign of disinformation supporting. Often in BLM rioting and looting, violence and murder. Domestic terrorism on a national scale sponsored by powerful liberals within government, media and business. Power brokers aiming the gun and pulling the trigger on American society during a flawlessly manufactured low point. Reinforced by vast supply lines of support and genuflection by main line media, major corporations and political organizations.



Michelle and former President Barack Obama's 2020 DNC speeches supporting BLM's "peaceful protesters" provide blatant examples of calling evil good and good evil. Here is a deplorable excerpt from each:

Former First Lady Michele Obama:

  • "Empathy: that's something I've been thinking a lot about latelyThe ability to walk in someone else's shoes; the recognition that someone else's experience has value, too. Most of us practice this without a second thought. If we see someone suffering or struggling, we don't stand in judgment. We reach out because, "There, but for the grace of God, go I." It is not a hard concept to grasp. It's what we teach our children. And like so many of you, Barack and I have tried our best to instill in our girls a strong moral foundation to carry forward the values that our parents and grandparents poured into us. But right now, kids in this country are seeing what happens when we stop requiring empathy of one anotherThey're looking around wondering if we've been lying to them this whole time about who we are and what we truly valueThey see people shouting in grocery stores, unwilling to wear a mask to keep us all safeThey see people calling the police on folks minding their own business just because of the color of their skinThey see an entitlement that says only certain people belong here, that greed is good, and winning is everything because as long as you come out on top, it doesn't matter what happens to everyone else. And they see what happens when that lack of empathy is ginned up into outright disdain. They see our leaders labeling fellow citizens enemies of the state while emboldening torch-bearing white supremacists. They watch in horror as children are torn from their families and thrown into cages, and pepper spray and rubber bullets are used on peaceful protestors for a photo-op."
Every bolded word, and more, provide a sorrowful study of hypocrisy and/or unabashed deceit:

  1. Since when is "empathy" defined as supporting months of BLM's unchecked violent and deadly rampage across the entire country. How is looting and torching the life's work of innocent business owners "the ability to walk in someone else's shoes; the recognition that someone else's experience has value, too."
  2. It's certainly true that inflating erroneous police crime statistics, while ignoring years of Black on Black violence and murders within inner cities, occasions "looking around wondering if we've been lying to them this whole time about who we are and what we truly value." Particularly in the Obama's own city of Chicago where within weeks of their speeches there were 18 murders in 24 hours.
  3. No one is supporting and BLM is not targeting "torch-bearing white supremacists.Rather just about everyone else.
  4. "Peaceful protestors" hardly describe the hundreds, if not thousands, of violent criminals that have largely been free to rampage at will.

Former President Barack Obama:

  • "Joe and Kamala will restore our standing in the world – and as we've learned from this pandemic, that matters. Joe knows the world, and the world knows him. He knows that our true strength comes from setting an example the world wants to follow. A nation that stands with democracy, not dictators. A nation that can inspire and mobilize others to overcome threats like climate change, terrorism, poverty, and disease. But more than anything, what I know about Joe, what I know about Kamala is that they actually care about every American. And that they care deeply about this democracy. They believe that in a democracy, the right to vote is sacred, and we should be making it easier for people to cast their ballots, not harder. They believe that no one – including the president – is above the law, and that no public official – including the president – should use their office to enrich themselves or their supporters.They understand that in this democracy, the Commander-in-Chief does not use the men and women of our military, who are willing to risk everything to protect our nation, as political props to deploy against peaceful protesters on our own soil. They understand that political opponents aren't "un-American" just because they disagree with you; the free press isn't the "enemy" but the way we hold officials accountable; that our ability to work together to solve big problems like a pandemic depend on a fidelity to facts and science and logic and not just making stuff up…. Because that's what at stake right now. Our democracy."
Another shameless example of liberal politicians applauding liberal politicians for turning truth on its head:

  1. "Joe and Kamala know… our true strength comes from setting an example the world wants to follow." Rioting and looting, violence and murder, burning police buildings and defacing public property based on a narrative of lies is hardly an example the world wants or needs.
  2. No one has even suggested impinging the rights of "peaceful protesters." A description clearly opposite the agenda of destruction and mayhem demonstrated by AntifaBLM and many Democrats leaders.
  3. The "way we hold we hold officials accountableis for the liberal media to provide endless forums promoting politicians and community leaders calling evil good and good evil. All the while denouncing voices of sanity and reason.
  4. Supporting and promoting months of nationwide anarchy, based on inverting truth and statistics opposes "fidelity to facts and science and logic" and is the very definition of "just making stuff up."

Even a majority of Republicans have done little to nothing to stoutly stand against such obvious evil. Up to and including President Trumps refusal to date to enact the Insurrection Act to put down domestic terrorism.

Never before has the spiritual and societal battle line been drawn so clearly. Even the genocide of abortion is largely unseen. More a religious and moral issue than continual in your face BLM rioting and looting, violence and murder. A campaign of terror supplemented with the tearing down of monuments, while bestowing martyrdom and sainthood on felons. Again, with the approval of a majority of the most powerful individuals, corporations and organizations in the U.S. if not world.

All this as the specters of apocalyptic events appear looming on the horizonSome, like Matt Walsh, a cultural and political commentator, pinpoint glaring lapses in judgment and common sense. Others forward more nefarious social and spiritual scenariosAs for a COVID-19 vaccine, there are a great many reasons for caution, up to and including genuine concerns in regards to efficacy and safety, not to mention medical professionals questioning plans to roll out genetic manipulation and even nano technology (if video link fails to play click here to download an important 20 min video).

Others speculate the introduction of a final New World Order. Possibly even the ushering in of the long foretold Antichrist, as well as the Mark of the Beast. The appearance of both, as Scripture plainly warnspredating Christ's prophesied Rapture of the Church. It's not hard to imagine a scenario where the primary, secondary and tertiary effects of global catastrophes such as COVID-19 play a significant role in the beginning of sorrows warned of in the gospels, epistles and Book of Revelation.

While bad news to be sure, there is hope in the knowing. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. At least for those with the eye's, ears and hearts willing to see, hear and understand. While discussing end time events, during His Olivet Discourse Jesus explains, "See, I have warned you about this ahead of time."

In regards to the last days, Christ's warnings are clear:

  • "This is going to be trouble on a scale beyond what the world has ever seen, or will see again. If these days of trouble were left to run their course, nobody would make it. But on account of God’s chosen people, the trouble will be cut short." Matthew 24:21-22 The Message
Luke's gospel adds a following:

  • "But be on your guard. Don’t let the sharp edge of your expectation get dulled by parties and drinking and shopping. Otherwise, that Day is going to take you by complete surprise, spring on you suddenly like a trap, for it’s going to come on everyone, everywhere, at once. So, whatever you do, don’t go to sleep at the switch. Pray constantly that you will have the strength and wits to make it through everything that’s coming and end up on your feet before the Son of Man." Luke 21:34-36 MSG
Such passages introduce a Biblical principle as crucial as it is commonly overlooked. From Noah's floodwaters to Revelation's fiery holocaust, Scripture cautions preparation to escape cataclysm must be BEFORE judgment begins. During or after is too little too late. Zephaniah's end time prophecy regarding the Day of the Lord is a persuasive case in point:

  • "'I’m going to make a clean sweep of the earth, a thorough housecleaning.'" God’s Decree. 'Men and women and animals, including birds and fish—Anything and everything that causes sin—will go, but especially people.'" Zephaniah 1:2-3 MSG

  • "So get yourselves together. Shape up! You’re a nation without a clue about what it wants. Do it before you’re blown away like leaves in a windstorm, Before God’s Judgment-anger sweeps down on you, Before God’s Judgment Day wrath descends with full force. Seek God, all you quietly disciplined people who live by God’s justice. Seek God’s right ways. Seek a quiet and disciplined life. Perhaps you’ll be hidden on the Day of God’s anger." Zephaniah 2:1-3 MSG
The New Testament also elaborates against planning on "getting holy in a hurry" if and when tribulation occurs. Regarding the Before Principle, the author of Hebrews cites Noah as an example:

  • "By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith." Hebrews 11:7 NIV
Here we find godly or "holy fear" an essential aspect of saving faith. A virtuous discipline best developed long before trouble strikes. Particularly when realistically hoping to escape man made calamity. Much less God's judgment.

The Bible repeatedly references the sad fact that God's own people often lack discernment and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Without spiritual eyes and ears, hearts and minds to accurately comprehend and appropriately respond, we are easily deceived in both doctrine and lifestyle. Hundreds of Christian sects and denominations, each promoting various Christs and versions of the gospel, testify to our Enemy's cunning. If Satan could influence perhaps a third of Heaven's ancient, holy and glorious angles to rebel, mankind presents little challenge.

And if Churchianity's all over the board in regard to the Bible's major themes, what of more subtle issues? Up to and including accurately discerning the times and seasons in which we live? Intentionally or unintentionally, modern Christianity has a history of all but upending the obvious meaning of Scripture's most important meta messages.

When it comes to being off page, Christ leveled a terrible indictment against the rebellion and hypocrisy of the people of God in His day:

  • "You’re hopeless! You build tombs for the prophets your ancestors killed. The tombs you build are monuments to your murdering ancestors more than to the murdered prophets. That accounts for God’s Wisdom saying, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, but they’ll kill them and run them off.’ What it means is that every drop of righteous blood ever spilled from the time earth began until now, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was struck down between altar and sanctuary, is on your heads. Yes, it’s on the bill of this generation and this generation will pay." Luke 11:47-51
Prophetic Christians do well to notice that the wording of Christ's dire warning introduces the principle of generational judgment. Such dreadful pronouncements are intended to put inattentive people groups and sinful societies on public notice.

  • " Next Jesus let fly on the cities where he had worked the hardest but whose people had responded the least, shrugging their shoulders and going their own way. “Doom to you, Chorazin! Doom, Bethsaida! If Tyre and Sidon had seen half of the powerful miracles you have seen, they would have been on their knees in a minute. At Judgment Day they’ll get off easy compared to you. And Capernaum! With all your peacock strutting, you are going to end up in the abyss. If the people of Sodom had had your chances, the city would still be around. At Judgment Day they’ll get off easy compared to you.” Matthew 11:20-24 MSG
Here again we see that Scripture, and life, are indeed a tests generating the gravest of results. Not merely for the Jews, who literally wrote the Book used in eternity's open book test, but by extension humanity itself. This holds doubly true for modern Christianity, on which the end of the age has come. A principle largely overlooked yet frequently reinforce by Scripture:

  • "These are all warning markers—danger!—in our history books, written down so that we don’t repeat their mistakes. Our positions in the story are parallel—they at the beginning, we at the end—and we are just as capable of messing it up as they were. Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else…"  1 Corinthians 10:11-12 MSG

  • "Write to Laodicea, to the Angel of the church. God’s Yes, the Faithful and Accurate Witness, the First of God’s creation, says: "I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless. Here’s what I want you to do: Buy your gold from me, gold that’s been through the refiner’s fire. Then you’ll be rich. Buy your clothes from me, clothes designed in Heaven. You’ve gone around half-naked long enough. And buy medicine for your eyes from me so you can see, really see." Revelation 3:14-18 MSG
Christ's chastisement of Laodicea is concerning and telling for a variety of reason. Earning the worst report card of the seven churches and/or church ages, Laodicea alone receives no compliment. Jesus' complaints however are many and cause for alarm. Up to and including His threat to vomit them out of the body of Christ for forbidden levels of worldliness and self deception. Serious charges, more indicative of modern Christianity than any other church age throughout history.

Laodiceans of all times and seasons clearly fail to understand spiritual warfare. Only a civilian would dare brag, "I'm rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone…" during the battles and shortages of cosmic spiritual war. Particularly when in actuality they were a, "pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless…" A war, by the way, about to increase exponentially. Overrunning the entire earth. Ruining the whole planet.

Deeper Dive

It's estimated that globally there may be as many as a billion Protestants. With the above categories identified, it seems helpful to drill down deeper as to which of today's Christian models might be nearer the all important 1st century Biblical Christian ideal:

1. 1st Century Biblical Christianity: As the originators and recipients of Pentecost's fire and empowerment as recorded in the Book of Acts, Christ's apostles were the founders of Christianity. Authoring the New Testament letters, through them and their missionary zeal they evangelized and discipled the original Church to withstand extreme resistance and persecution. To the point of eventually bringing Rome, then the world's greatest military, political and religious power on Earth to bow its knees to Christ. Thus becoming the Divine model for Christendom throughout all ages.

2. Persecuted Church: Today's Persecuted Church continues the costly mandate and mission of the 1st century Christians. This included innumerable Third World missionaries and believers daily baring their cross while proclaiming Christ's. See Nick Ripken and Voice of the Martyrs. Far less in number, some First World Christians and activists do the same.

3. Puritan Holiness: One of the smallest subset with Christendom are those embracing extreme sanctification, at least by today's standards. Such doctrine and lifestyle is more common in impoverished nations facing far less bombardment by levels of worldliness and entitlement, temptation and deception. In the modern world, such radical discipleship witnesses to one of the main differences between cheap and costly grace. The latter being the authentic grace of God presented in Scripture. Examples include John Wesley and Hudson Taylor, Charles Finney and Smith Wigglesworth, George, Mueller and Evan Roberts, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Jackie Pullinger, Leonard Ravenhill and David Wilkerson. Old and new world puritanism may differ, but both are radical expressions of commitment to Christ's in the face of worldly influence and onslaught, more recently exemplified in the Russian Church's costly overcoming of Communist persecution and tribulations. 4. Quantum Christianity: As previously mentioned, QC was developed in hope of being a better Bible bridge for billions, spanning the growing gap between 1st Century Biblical Christianity and 21st Century Modern Churchianity. With the goal of more fully equipping Prophetic Christians to walk in the Spirit in light of the vastly degrading times and season thrust upon us by the devilish geopolitical era in which we live.

5. Modern Christianity: An umbrella term, Modern Christianity represents many of the hundred plus denominations having fragmented Christianity. Many promoting various Christs and versions of Scripture. Up to and including heretical movements. Including versions of prosperity gospels, particularly that of the Word of Faith Movement.

7. Emerging and Emergent Church: The Emerging Church seeks "the deconstruction of modern Christian worship, modern evangelism, and the nature of modern Christian community" by embracing a post modern theological fluid, thus worldly, interpretation of Scripture and church, morality and lifestyle. Featuring the development and promotion of progressive Christianity. Including rewriting some or all of the Bible.

While disagreements abound in regards to many, if not all, facets of the above Protestant models, it should be noted that 1-3 are in perfect keeping with the tenets and tenor of Scripture. Exemplifying evangelism and discipleship. Differing modestly, though not necessarily insignificantly, as to what degree certain doctrines are highlighted and
emphasized. Making these the safest bet and educated guess.

Models 5-6 embrace certain aspects of elementary truths. The
milk vs. meat of Scripture. Often prematurely assuming salvation by substituting presumption for faith and christianized worldliness for sanctification. Thus promoting half the gospel or less.

Model 4,
Quantum Christianity, is designed to promote Prophetic Christian understanding and compliance to models 2-3, with the goal of achieving original 1st century perspective and power in our 21st century Christian experience. Thus fully entering God's Rest and becoming entirely New Creations. The ultimate objective of Biblical Christianity.

Forty years of strategic service and research suggests modern Christianity’s Biblical report card looks something like this:

  • 1/3 of our teaching and preaching, prayers and worship, evangelism and discipleship are in keeping with the fuller content and context of Scripture. 👍

  • 1/3 of our teaching and preaching, prayers and worship, evangelism and discipleship are at lacking or at odds with the fuller content and context of Scripture. 😔

  • 1/3 of the most vital aspects of Scripture’s content and context are entirely missing. 😬
This goes a long way to explain why a Quantum Christian perspective, that embraces ALL aspects of Biblical truth equally and simultaneously, without over emphasizing or under emphasizing any, is so important.

Hence Jesus’s use of
“Man shall live by EVERY word that proceeded from the mouth of God.”

We all have valuable subjective experiences in our journey to know, and be known by the Lord. Still, the Bible was Authored as an
objective point of reference to be sure we don’t lose our way on our journey to maturity and perfection (both emphasized in the New Testament).

Again, this includes substituting or enlarging one or more aspect of God’s Divine attributes and nature over others. Either by reason of personal experience or denominational doctrine.

When it comes to our relationship with God, we all agree various verses on His interaction with humanity begin to paint a picture of nuances between Divine
mercy and forgiveness, faithfulness and love, in light of repeated examples of His commands and warnings, holiness and judgment

It’s easy to see how the passages we choose to
emphasize and/or omit shape our perception of God’s range of emotion regarding both those outside and inside Christ’s Church.

As well as His acceptance or rejection of our thoughts and attitudes, words and deeds (or lack thereof).

In this
simple video example, the expression on God’s face are easily manipulated through even slight alterations of His eyes, ears, nose and mouth…

It’s been said God created man in His own image, and since then we’ve been returning the favor…

Limiting God in this way is an extremely common and costly mistake. Both temporally and eternally. One often accentuated by the worldview we use to read and interpret Scripture’s
meta messages.

Such errors are frequently supported by our individual current circumstance.

For example, the Bible repeatedly warns, directly and indirectly, not to confuse the praises of men with God’s anointing. His blessings as His approval. Financial and worldly freedom as His favor. Or vice versa.


QC dares to
hope against hope that while we have clearly run out of wine, as in the case of Mary's perfect intercession, through timely and appropriate brokenness and repentance, we may yet find Jesus has once again saved the best for last.

UPDATE: Roe vs. Wade Overturned


To the joy of countless millions, on Friday 6/24/22 the landmark decision Hobbs vs. Jackson by the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe vs. Wade. Thus auspiciously ending 40 years of national tyranny against 60 million pre-born.


Or at lease throwing the decision to allow mothers to continue conspiring with physicians to murder the offspring within their wombs back to America's 50 individual states...


While I now live in North East Texas, years ago I spent nearly 100 Saturdays at Central California clinics warning and imploring up to twenty girls a day to spare their babies. Via public parking constraints, forced to pass near I implored, “If God gives you the gift of a child don’t let anyone harm it.”

Often alone, sometimes there would be nearly a handful of us. On a good day, one or two mothers would listen and change their minds.

On many other occasions none at all.

As in Christ's end time parable of the
Sheep and Goats, there I discovered Jesus in His smallest and most innocent form. Totally dependent for “food” and “drink,” “naked” and “in prison” in the very womb of His mother. There I watched as He was repeatedly carried, “Like a lamb to the slaughter,” into a medical clinic. A most solemn and sorrowful scenario with grave spiritual ramifications.

One repeated in Fresno alone over 50,000 times.

In over two years I don’t recall a single member of the clergy or even lay leader joining us. Though I understand the odds may have somewhat improved through the influence of 40 Days For Life.

Only a fraction of fraction of a percent of ordained ministers have served as a director of a leading pro-life organization. Far less still have had the honor and responsibility to act as a leading liaison to over a thousand churches in state wide pro-life political initiatives.

With well over thirty years in
strategic Christian service, including more than a decade of pastoral ministry and pro-life activism, the author is privileged to belong to a select fraternity. This and other articles and books represent a culmination of this experience. Using such depth perception, this commentary is intended to introduce the true nature of the challenge presented by abortion. Particularly to modern Christianity.

During California’s 2005 Prop. 73 Parent’s Right To Know initiative I produced the pro-life political DVD entitled “Protect Me…Please” to be shown in hundreds, if not thousands of churches, prior to or on election Sunday. Groundbreaking, the 3 minute video featuring post abortive laments of teenage girls, made the front page of both the LA Times and San Francisco Chronicle. Prop. 73 failed by a narrow margin.

During the subsequent Prop. 85 initiative I achieved another milestone. For the first time, four leading Protestant state denominations, the
Southern Baptists, Assemblies of God, Calvary Chapel and Foursquare, officially endorsed a political initiative. Again Parent’s Right to Know (PRK) was defeated.

Our third attempt in 2008 with Prop 4. affectionately dubbed “Sarah’s Law” failed as well. More than
political, my involvement was spiritually motivated. After having spoken to thousands of Christians across denominational lines, it was clear that far less than 1% of either clergy or laity had the vaguest notion of the scale of abortion’s true threat to either the pre-born or the Church.

As a topical Biblical commentary, Quantum Christianity was designed in recognition of the need to examine and handle truth carefully and honestly. Scriptural and otherwise. The nationalized legalization of clinical abortion, and its apparent overruling, presents a perfect case in point.

A faithful handling of the Old and New Testament requires would be students and adherents to develop
spiritual discernment on a variety of subjects crucial to Biblical Christianity. The lack of which has produced hundreds of differing denominations espousing various Christs and versions of the gospel. Tragically, many of the hopeful insights inherent in Christ's command to "Judge with righteous judgment" continue to go largely unrealized within modern Christianity.

Such is certainly the case when considering the American church's 40 year track record in regards to an appropriate response to abortion. Or more accurately, the lack thereof. Both clinically and
contraceptively.

Bear in mind that church attending Christians could have ended abortion in a single day, 365 days a year, for nearly 40 years, by simply sending 1% of our congregations to have family friendly picnics in front of every abortion
clinic in America. With thousands peacefully blocking entrances, even should there be numerous arrests, the sheer numbers involved would shut down all abortuaries in a single day. With 99% more now authentically pro-life Christians waiting for a chance to join cause.

Yet nothing could be further from the case. Then or now.

Nor have we seriously addressed the widespread use of
abortifacient contraception throughout Christendom. A topic that many, if not most, churches and even pro-life organizations know or speak little about. Most often chemical in nature, early term abortions are a result of various forms of birth control and other devices. Abortions of this kind happen before the mother is aware of her pregnancy. The exact numbers are unknown. Some estimates suggest the daily total of these types of abortions may be surprising large. In the U.S. alone perhaps between 834,000 to over 4,000,000 per year (Dr. Bobmir Kuhar, Infant Homicides Through Contraceptives Pg 27.) Lower estimates range around 100,000 to over 1,500,000 annually (Randy Alcorn: Does the Birth Control Pill Cause Abortions? How Often Does the Pill Cause Abortions?)

Thus the compelling need to rethink Jesus' directive to "Judge with righteous judgment" should be abundantly evident.

But is it? Throughout the
Hobbs vs. Jackson decision by the Supreme Court celebratory posts and podcasts, sermons and ceremonies, is there any awareness of the reality of the seriousness our situation? Or brokenhearted repentance in light of the depth of our failures?

Are any of today's joyful messages cognizant of the Bible's repeated warning that God is not mocked.


  • Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. Galatians 6:7 AMP

  • For they sow the wind [in evil] And they reap the whirlwind [in disaster]. Hosea 8:7 AMP
Is our revelry tempered with the sobering fact that while abortion is currently the pinnacle sin of mankind, it's only the tip of the iceberg? One floating in a WaterWorld of immorality unleashed by the continual and increasing tsunami of the 60's sexual revolution redefining and/or eliminating traditional marriage and family.

These
devilish sociopolitical engineering undoubtedly ushered in such modern woes as career felon George Floyd's sainthood and efforts to undermine criminal justice. Antifa and BLM riots and violence. CRT and orchestrated racial tensions. C19's plandemic and goal overreach. Medical interference and harmful vaccines. Woke agenda and transgenderism. Biden's malevolent war on Ukraine and America's economy. All part of the Great Reset.

And these are just the highlights. All coordinated and choreographed by the clearly visible and menacing Iron Triangle of liberal global politics, media and corporations.

Yet even now,
modern Christianity, up to and including the vast majority of Prophetic Christians, refuses to discern the clearly repeated handwriting on the wall. And having done so, to enter the crucible of James 4's Prayer of Anguish in hopes of James 5's reconciliation to, and empowerment by, God.

Particularly the Person of the
Holy Spirit, Whom we continue to annoy and grieve, if not profane and blaspheme.

Instead, across America,
Laodicea is masquerading as Philadelphia. Lauding the Supreme Court for Hobbs vs. Jackson while the highest court in the land continues to sidestep or support all the devastating atrocities mentioned above. Many of which modern Christianity has yet to Scripturally repent of, up to and including sins of clinical and/or contraceptive abortion. In regards to commission and/or omission.

Mankind’s current pinnacle sin of abortion is spiritually quantum in a variety of ways. For example, it’s hardly just like any other sin. Even so, as with any other sin, it does require the event and process of genuine repentance. Like faith itself, honest and heartfelt repentance encompasses our entire mind, heart and will. As required by 2 Chronicles 7:14’s perfect formula for repentance.

The New Testament reiterates this principle in multiple ways. Putting the
penance in repentance, Scripture reinforces the need for a change of both attitude and action as exemplified in the old adage, “When is a thief not a thief?” The Bible’s answer is not when someone merely confesses. In and of itself a rarity these days. Not even when a thief stops stealing. That’s just an out of work thief. But rather:

  • If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.” Ephesians 4:28 New Living Translation

Herein lies one of several grave errors in
modern Christianity’s understanding of Biblical repentance. All too often members are bid to simply believe in the cross of Christ, with little or no discussion of practical aspects of repentance and/or restitution. Much less of His command we daily shoulder our own. As Jesus’ brother James warned in regards to living and dead faith:

  • “Do I hear you professing to believe in the one and only God, but then observe you complacently sitting back as if you had done something wonderful? That’s just great. Demons do that, but what good does it do them? Use your heads! Do you suppose for a minute that you can cut faith and works in two and not end up with a corpse on your hands?” James 2:19-20 The Message

Reflecting Scripture's overarching
context of conflict theology, a military analogy perfectly exemplifies the Bible's emphasis on the crucial 3 step process of genuine repentance:

  1. Halt: “If you are a thief, quit stealing.”

  1. About Face: “Instead, use your hands for good hard work…”

  1. March: “and then give generously to others in need.”
Before continuing to celebrate exchanging presumption for faith, in message and music, perhaps some soul serious searching would be in order. The Roe vs. Wade debacle would be a good place to start...


Update 2022

It should be abundantly clear things changed substantially in 2020. Nationally and globally, the world has never scene the like of even the following short list: 

1. Covid-19 and variants, of questionable origin, mandates promoting and/or requiring untested and dangerous MRNA “vaccines” and “boosters” with negative efficacy and even deadly side effects revealing unprecedented control of healthcare and politics by the collusion of pharmaceutical companies and bureaucrats. To the point of threatening the removal of medical licenses of physicians prescribing safe and reliable treatments proven effective against respiratory and other illness. Example: In 2015 Ivermectin won the only Nobel Prize award for treatments of infectious diseases since six decades prior. 5. Campaigns of disinformation and destruction by the emerging Iron Triangle of liberal governments, legacy media and global corporations influencing and poisoning the hearts and minds of billions.

On national and state level. Immigrants extorted $10-50,000 by cartels to allow illegal crossing into US.

10. Drug cartel designer drug epidemic and death rate. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Carfentanil is a synthetic opioid approximately 10,000 times more potent than morphine and 100 times more potent than fentanyl. The U.S. government does not track death rates for every drug. However, the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention collects information on deaths involving many of the more commonly used drugs. Nearly 92,000 persons in the U.S. died from drug-involved overdose in 2020, including illicit drugs and prescription opioids. Up from less than 20,000 in 1999. Thats a 350% increase in 2020 with higher rates in 2022..

11. Escalation of US violent and property crime rates. Current odds are 1/178 that an American resident will be murdered during their lifetime.

12. Fuel and energy, transportation and economic crises created by faulty governmental policies and false media narratives.

13. Republican party is Controlled Opposition enabling Iron Triangle of liberal politics, media and corporations to deconstruct Judeo/Christian values. 12 Republicans declare "lawfare” on Christians by voting for so-called "Respect for Marriage Act" codifying federal support for homosexual marriage.

14. President Biden and Iron Triangle target Christian conservatives and/or MAGA Republicans as extreme and/or greatest threat to US.

15. Worldwide manipulation and control of all the above, as well as governments and economies, national budgets and banking, healthcare and communication, goods and services… by global elites implementing a Great Reset thus instituting a New World Order

Many are, and far more will
take issue with God, asking is He fair? How can God be good, yet remain silent and distance in the face of such global loneliness and depression, bitterness and loss, illness and disease, pain and death.

The
Bible provides answers to all such questions and more.

Quantumly, Earth is many wonderful things. Sadly, it's also a physical and spiritual kill zone. A battlefield about to get exponentially worse. With too few the wiser.

Understanding the Bible's most
emphasizes meta messages is a necessary prerequisite for rightly interpreting Scripture. Developing spiritual sensitivity through diligent practice is also indispensable in learning to discern the reality often obscured by secular and religious culture. As Jesus warned:

  • "Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously." John 7:24 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

  • "But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]." 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 Amplified Bible

Given the
quantum nature of living out our faith, it’s preferable to major on the positive rather than dwell on negatives. After all, even when fractured into scores of denominations and plagued by worldliness, a lot can be said for modern Christianity. We enjoy our beautiful churches and programs. We’re comforted by encouraging worship and messages. We value relationships with leaders and fellow believers. All well intentioned attitudes the New Testament seems to support:

  • “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8 New International Version

Notice this appealing list begins with whatever is “true.” Then, as if to lay a secure foundation, it continues with “noble” and “right” and “pure.” Far from promoting positivism and unity at the cost of
honesty and discernment, such passages underscore the need for first the former and then the latter.

C.S. Lewis, yesterday, while less than correct on a few key issues, is rightfully recognized as one of, if not the most insightful Christian authors of the 20th century. He also lived through two world wars, wounded by friendly fire on the battlefield of WW1. He saw the reality of
Conflict Theology first hand, particularly as England was besieged during WW2.

About God allowing this carnage and man's inhumanity to man, three of his more famous quotes may prove helpful:

1. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.

2. God, who foresaw your tribulation, has specially armed you to go through it, not without pain but without stain.

3. The hardness of God is kinder than the softness of men, and His compulsion is our liberation.


Seaworthy Metaphors


With Hell to loose, and Heaven to gain, few questions in life are as important as where God draws the line in regards to Biblical Salvation. What does Scripture teach we must do to be saved? Is following Christ, the authentic Jesus, different in the the modern world than the 1st century?

When aboard a massive ocean liner, in certain respects it doesn’t seem as if you’re moving. Because you’re not, when judged by those around you aboard ship. To plot your course and speed, you need a waypoint off ship.

The same holds true for entire generations. There may be no sense of momentum, because we’re all aboard the same massive ocean liner. But actually, we may be moving at a rapid pace, into dangerous waters. Or in our case, questionable if not heretical doctrine and
worldly lifestyles.

As noted above, few recognize the growing gap between 1st century
Biblical Christianity and 21st century Modern Churchianity. Or even the requirements of salvation popularized by a pair of well known sermons by two of the primary architects of the 18th century First Great Awakening.

Jonathan EdwardsSinners In The Hands Of An Angry God may simultaneously be the most famous and infamous sermon of all time. Lightyears from the “cheap grace” of modern Christianity, it’s as interesting as it is a difficult read.

While not
religiously correct, the God of the Bible is simultaneously awe-full and awful, and should be approached as such. While Churchianity considers itself exempt from judgment, Jesus and His apostles tell a different story.

Fully grasping the message and exacting meaning of this sermon is crucial if we are to recover even a fraction of what has been lost. Beginning by developing living faith rather than presumption, whereby we assume salvation rather than seeking and serving God acceptably by means of serious sanctification and radical discipleship. All necessary foundational requirements should we realistically hope to experience Biblical Revival, much less Kingdom Reformation, in our generation.

GodBlog's classic 18th Century version, we highly recommend downloading "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God: Updated to Modern English Kindle Edition" by Jason Dollar. It can be read for $2.99 on any device by downloading the Kindle app or simply on the Amazon cloud. It is a far easier and meaningful read when updated into modern language and format. The author also includes a balanced introduction and second sermon entitled "Love The Sum Of All Virtue" to present Jonathan Edwards in a more accurate light.

Nevertheless, reader be warned. When Edwards uses the phrase “Born Again” in the 18th century, it is not with the same flippancy as in the 21st, whereby we erroneously grant blessing to have our cake and eat it too. Doctrinally justifying continuing our pursuit of the Christian/American Dream, while living
mostly worldly lives.

To understand the difference, you will need a sermon by his contemporary,
John Wesley, founder of the once puritan Methodist Church, entitled "The Almost Christian.”

Another crucial consideration is that of the
Cruise Vs. Battleship analogy. While you won't find it taught in seminaries or churches, Conflict Theology is actually the underlying context of Scripture. Widely recognized for nearly two thousand years, the modern world long ago changed course, sailing far from puritanical definitions of repentance and morality, faith and discipleship and sanctification and holiness. The result has been the nearly wholesale substitution of assumed salvation for repentance, presumption for faith and inappropriate worship for sanctification.

Decades old, the increase of
temptation and deception, has resulted in a devilishly cunning strategy of incrementalism that over time has all but uprooted millennia of spiritual and sociological gains. Part and parcel of the dramatic and disastrous deterioration in the Times and Seasons in which we live, and vastly worse on the horizon. Evidence of the spirit of the Antichrist terraforming the entire planet for the beginning of Divine judgment and Great Tribulation.

If Christianity’s a cruise ship, sailing merrily from here to Heaven, then certainly Christ’s costly atonement is more than sufficient passage. The cross of Jesus is indeed all anyone could ever need. If however, Heaven and Earth are at war with fallen angels and devils, Christianity is a battleship and we must follow our Commander and Chief’s example and directives by daily shouldering our own.

Even if Christianity could be likened to a pleasure cruise, given
Churchianity’s collision course with so many modern temptations and deceptions, up to an including immorality and the blood red mountainous iceberg of abortion, in certain respects might even many well intended ministries be reduced to simply arranging deck chairs on the Titanic?

So is Christianity a cruise or gunship? We must decide. And do so quickly and carefully. Military directives and drills, cramped quarters and sea rations, would be absurd on a pleasure cruise. So too, civilian itineraries and activities, opulent suites and sumptuous banquets, would be anathema during a time of war
.

Much has been lost and our situation dire. Nevertheless, QC dares to
hope against hope that while as in the account of Christ's debut miracle at the wedding feast of Cana, we have clearly run out of wine, still today Mary's perfect intercession, through timely and appropriate brokenness and repentance, yields insight as to how we may yet find Jesus has once again saved the best for last.
