Prayer Meetings

It’s long been noted, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” This begs the question as to why? Shortsightedness and/or lack of perseverance? Dualism and/or double-mindedness? Self sabotage and/or resistance?

Regardless of the reasons, in the end such a sorrowful epithet boils down to one simple mistake. A lack of appropriate response. A costly error all too common among a variety of modern Christian meetings. Prayer and otherwise. Could such a condition extend to even well intentioned prayer gatherings? If and when you can find one. And there's actually repentive and Biblically based prayer.

God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Having lived for more than 50 years with the spiritual nuclear holocaust of the 1960’s sexual revolution and the growing fallout that has not only inverted morality but seen the premeditated global murder of more than a billion pre-born, not to mention tens of millions of lost family members leaving the faith, one might well imagine churches everywhere would be filled with continuous corporate prayer.

With growing levels of worldly radioactivity as toxic to families and friends as they are ubiquitous, surely after 5 decades modern Christianity has risen to meet the challenge. With trillions in assets and billion of Bibles, hundreds of thousands of programs and media outlets, believers must by now have stemmed if not turned the tide of wonton worldliness and worse. If not, with millions of modern facilities and comfortable homes at our disposal, tens of thousands of weekly if not daily home prayer groups must be assailing God day and night for heavenly resource and relief…

Tragically, nothing could be further from the truth. Unlike Christ’s parable of the Friend At Midnight, or better yet the Persistant Widow, serious intercession is all but a dying art. A sad state of affairs which Jesus forewarns against at the end of the afore mentioned parable:

  • “But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?” Luke 18:8 MSG
When it comes to such dramatic spiritual reversals, its one thing to have fought and failed and another to have failed to fight. A serious consideration duly noted by the famous reformer Martin Luther:

  • “If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Wherever the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that one point.”
Tragically, modern Christianity, broken into various sects offering a variety of Christs, is far from correctly understanding and complying with even half the gospel, much less professing “with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking.” Even among many of the more discerning there remains a woefully persistent lack of spiritual sensitivity and sanctification. These factors and more conspire to create a false sense of security calling for “peace, peace when there is no peace.” A state often warned of in both the Old and New Testaments:

  • “Everyone’s after the dishonest dollar, little people and big people alike. Prophets and priests and everyone in between twist words and doctor truth. My people are broken—shattered!— and they put on Band-Aids, Saying, ‘It’s not so bad. You’ll be just fine.’ But things are not ‘just fine’! Do you suppose they are embarrassed over this outrage? No, they have no shame. They don’t even know how to blush. There’s no hope for them. They’ve hit bottom and there’s no getting up. As far as I’m concerned, they’re finished.” God has spoken.” Jeremiah 6:13-15 MSG

  • “Haven’t you fantasized sheer nonsense? Aren’t your sermons tissues of lies, saying ‘God says . . .’ when I’ve done nothing of the kind? Therefore—and this is the Message of God, the Master, remember—I’m dead set against prophets who substitute illusions for visions and use sermons to tell lies. I’m going to ban them from the council of my people, remove them from membership in Israel, and outlaw them from the land of Israel. Then you’ll realize that I am God, the Master. The fact is that they’ve lied to my people. They’ve said, ‘No problem; everything’s just fine,’ when things are not at all fine. When people build a wall, they’re right behind them slapping on whitewash. Tell those who are slapping on the whitewash, ‘When a torrent of rain comes and the hailstones crash down and the hurricane sweeps in and the wall collapses, what’s the good of the whitewash that you slapped on so liberally, making it look so good?’ And that’s exactly what will happen. I, God, the Master, say so: ‘I’ll let the hurricane of my wrath loose, a torrent of my hailstone-anger. I’ll make that wall you’ve slapped with whitewash collapse. I’ll level it to the ground so that only the foundation stones will be left. And in the ruin you’ll all die. You’ll realize then that I am God.” Ezekiel 13:9-14 MSG

  • “When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape. But you are not in [given up to the power of] darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief. For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness. Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect).” 1 Thessalonians 5:3-6 AMP

  • “Think, friends: If I come to you and all I do is pray privately to God in a way only he can understand, what are you going to get out of that? If I don’t address you plainly with some insight or truth or proclamation or teaching, what help am I to you? If musical instruments—flutes, say, or harps—aren’t played so that each note is distinct and in tune, how will anyone be able to catch the melody and enjoy the music? If the trumpet call can’t be distinguished, will anyone show up for the battle?” 1 Corinthians 14:6-8 MSG
Against the backdrop of these and hundreds of passages calling for “judging with righteous judgment” it’s clear that only a shrinking minority within the rank and file of Churchianity have a heart for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth (so help us God). Regrettably, such shortsightedness is in keeping with mounting evidence that hundreds of millions of believers today are to some degree substituting presumption for faith, inappropriate worship for intimacy and story telling for discipleship.

Tellingly, it’s been suggested that the size of the Sunday morning crowd is a good indicator of the popularity of a church. In the same way mid week services reflect a pastor’s popularity. To see just how popular God is, count those regularly attending a weekly prayer meeting…

Should this ominous portent prove even partially true, the following two statements seem reasonable:

1. Churchianity, as in the famous comedy I Love Lucy has “some splainin to do.”

2. After adjusting for the quantity and quality of those gathering, there is reason to believe those faithfully attending prayer meetings may have a greater commitment than the average parishioner.

All mankind’s dealings with God occur within the purview of the free yet conditional gift of grace made possible by the unfathomable and costly atonement of Christ. Yet only a shrinking minority realize the conditionality of Scripture, from the event/process of salvation and beyond. Such recognition serves to reinforce the importance of commitment as measured in honesty and diligence, personal sanctification and discipleship.

A myriad of Bible passages, such as Malachi’s chilling yet nearly universally ignored “cursed blessings” raise the all important question of “who can pray so God will hear?” From the chapter by that name in R.A. Torrey’s book, "What The Bible Teaches" to such spiritually powerful greats as Charles Finney’s explanation “Power From On High” a formidable list of do’s and don’ts present themselves to would be radical disciples hoping to walk in the fullness of the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

By definition "Radical" discipleship implies a depth of wisdom and understanding, zeal and obedience transcending the norm. Beyond repentance and salvation. Beyond intercession and study. Beyond activism and insight, there lies the undiscovered country of full sanctification and costly commitment to the cause and person of Christ.

So how might the components that comprise a more complete commitment to Christ and overcoming prayer be simplified? While many of Christendom's leaders have weighed in on the subject, perhaps none has done so as skillfully and succinctly as Evan Roberts, recognized leader of the 1904 Welsh Revival. This authentic and well documented move of God would see 100,000 converts in a matter of months, Evan Roberts codified the following simple yet insightful directives:

1. You must confess any known sin to God and put any wrong done to others right.

2. Second, you must put away any doubtful habit.

3. Third, you must obey the Spirit promptly.

4. Finally, you must confess your faith in Christ publicly.

Evan Roberts’ short list makes an excellent outline for prophetic Christians hoping to move beyond the niceties of merely “praying for” to more earnestly “pressing in” to the rarely seen point of “praying through.”


Overcoming Prayer

Serious prayer is more a process than event. An all important journey towards spiritual sensitivity and practice, honesty and discernment with the hope of enabling the dedicated to genuinely learn to pray so God will hear.

Progressing along the path of regular and lengthly prayer is a true reflection of compassion and care, exemplified by the level of our diligent and appropriate response:

1. Wishful Thinking: This introductory style of prayer is largely spontaneous. It knows little of Scripture or spiritual experience. Disappointment in this arena accounts for billions prematurely deciding Biblical authority and faith is unreasonable. Thus signaling both the beginning and end of honestly pursuing the answers to life’s ultimate questions.

2. Prayer On the Go: The next incremental investment for most of Churchianity might loosely be described as phoning it in. Nearly synonymous with windshield time, it’s basically little more than wishful thinking expressed with slightly more quantity and quality.

3. Pausing For Prayer: Hundreds of millions recognize the need to at least treat God with the respect due a stranger. Rather than daydreaming on the run, these pause for at least a moment now and then, pitching a prayer heavenward hoping it will stick. Unfortunately, this level may exemplify, or even exceed the commitment level of the average modern Christian.

4. Attaching A Scripture: Those interested enough to admit septs 1-3 rarely work often try increasing their odds by adding a Bible promise. Unfortunately the vast majority of Christians remain basically prayerless, stopping to pray less than ten minutes a day. Adding to our dilemma is massive Biblically illiteracy. The inability to quote, much less correctly understand 10 verses in a row. Most, adding a Scriptural promise to lukewarm prayers, do so with little or no concern as to the corresponding conditions of such passages.

5. Occasional Intercession: The next common waypoint along the path of developing a committed prayer life is the occasional investment of 30 minutes or so practicing the art of intercession. When answers are more miss than hit, believers are left with 3 options. (1) Give up: Some go so far as to create mistaken doctrines like cessation to justify spiritual failures. (2) Pretend: The favored choice of hundreds of millions, charismatic or not. (3) Seek God’s Face: The serious study and whole hearted implementation of Scripture.

6. If My People: God’s perfect plan for repentance is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. Those putting this simple algebraic formula into practice soon develop the spiritual insight to become Prophetic Christians on their way to judging all things.

7. Scheduled Intercession: Upping the ante can be done individually or collectively. Nevertheless, as with nearly all Christian disciplines, efforts are far more effective when done in concert. Corporate meetings should reflect a quality and quantity of prayer indicative of the difficulties being addressed.

8. Sanctification: Devotees interested in learning to pray effectually soon feel the need for growth in radical personal and corporate sanctification and discipleship.

9. Pressing In: When prayer still largely goes unanswered, the committed soldier on, doubling down through triple fasting; i.e. food, prayer and good deeds.

10. Praying Through: When all is said and done, those refusing to take no for an answer redouble their efforts with semiweekly, if not daily, extended times of prayer. Practicing 1 or more of the 7 prayer modes, they major on being still and waiting on God through the prayer of silence. Such rare men and women give God no rest, day and night, until they and those for whom they pray are demonstrably filled with both the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit. They remain committed to travailing in prayer to the point of prevailing with men and circumstances, Satan and God.
A dwindling percentage of Churchianity practice, or even understand the purpose of regular (weekly if not daily) and lengthy (hours not minutes) intercessory prayer. Those who do realize that, as Paul explains, Biblical Christianity is no walk in the park but a life-or-death fight to the finish:
  • “And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon.” Ephesians 6:10-17 MSG
Paul uses the above as a warm up as both explanation and encouragement regarding the kind of quality and quantity of prayer that overcomes:

  • In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. And don’t forget to pray for me. Pray that I’ll know what to say and have the courage to say it at the right time, telling the mystery to one and all, the Message that I, jailbird preacher that I am, am responsible for getting out.” Ephesians 6:18-20 MSG
Mindful of these and a myriad of other such directives, we do well to individually and collectively practice the vanishing arts of brokenness and repentance, honesty and humility. Let us cease trading presumption for faith, in our prayers and worship, teaching and fellowship. Having done so, by all means let us cautiously yet boldly approach Omnity’s throne of grace to obtain mercy in these times of need, remembering our God, the Creator of 50 billion trillion suns is indeed “a consuming fire.”

  • “See to it that you do not refuse [to listen to] Him who is speaking [to you now]. For if those [sons of Israel] did not escape when they refused [to listen to] him who warned them on earth [revealing God’s will], how much less will we escape if we turn our backs on Him who warns from heaven? His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the [starry] heaven.” Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:25-29 AMP
Or as the American author Annie Dillard puts it:

  • “On the whole, I do not find Christians, outside of the catacombs, sufficiently sensible of conditions. Does anyone have the foggiest idea what sort of power we so blithely invoke? Or, as I suspect, does no one believe a word of it? The churches are children playing on the floor with their chemistry sets, mixing up a batch of TNT to kill a Sunday morning. It is madness to wear ladies’ straw hats and velvet hats to church; we should all be wearing crash helmets. Ushers should issue life preservers and signal flares; they should lash us to our pews. For the sleeping god may wake someday and take offense, or the waking god may draw us out to where we can never return.”
To reasonably entertain the quantum hope of genuine effectiveness amidst such never before seen levels of temptation and deception, immorality and sin, the authentic prayer warrior must set their sights on nothing short of prevailing with men and circumstances, Satan and God. All goals previously accomplished by others, but only by the most wisely dedicated of men and women. As James assures:

  • “Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].” James 5:16-18 AMP
Some of the most dramatic depictions of the kind of individual and corporate heart wrenching brokenness that may yet avail at this late hour ironically can be found in a variety of well known movies. After 70,000 hours of strategical seeking and serving God, all culminating in extensive research and writing, I strongly suspect the application of the spiritual metaphor exemplified in the few minutes of the courtroom interview of Denzel Washington at the end of the movie "Flight" holds the key to the best chance modern Christianity and even the vast majority of prophetic Christians have in overcoming worldliness and Satanic deception thereby saving our souls and those of others. Preferable before but if necessary during judgment and/or Tribulation, “they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, word of their "testimony" and not loving their lives unto death.”

Reminiscent of Peter's 2nd great confession, it may be that only the kind of ruthless repentance and honesty portrayed in this scene can save the day. Dualistic and double-minded as this pilot, who's amazing skill saved countless lives while his alcoholism (worldliness) had and would continue to jeopardize far more, it’s high time we awake from our worldly stupor. Coming to the end of ourselves, and the service of two masters, might we declared as he later did in explanation of his phenomenal change of heart, “I just couldn't tell one more lie.” Refusing to mar the memory of a dead flight attendant (his past lover and drinking buddy) when by doing so he could have walked away a wealthy hero and free man... instead he chose shame and imprisionment (metaphor: prisoner and bondslave to Christ) to become a lover of the Truth...


Continuing and perhaps straining the worldly intoxication analogy, given the ubiquity of temptation and deception exacerbated by elevated levels of entitlement and sin rampant within Churchianity, a 12-Step discipleship program with weekly and daily meetings (perhaps with chips for number of days sober) might be in order. Particularly for those hoping to discern, much less overcome, a myriad of subtle attitudes and actions by which we continually grieve if not alienate the Holy Spirit. Consider something universally accepted and seemingly innocuous as T.V. For a variety of reasons, to the serious Christian the subject of TV should be a no brainer. The odds are good (or in our case bad) that subscribing to and viewing, much less paying for and thereby partaking in and promoting broadcast and/or cable TV is not only contrary to Biblical Christianity but anathema.

Whatever the particulars of the state of modern Christianity, clearly believers today commonly cross a variety dangerous spiritual lines as well as fail to recognize the inevitable judgment that must arise from our continual stream of sins of commission and omission. For all these reasons and more, in words of the Apostle of Grace:

  • "And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Romans 13:11-14 NKJV)
Unfortunately, what is also clear is our refusal to adopt a truly Biblical world view, much less conform to genuine Christian standards of behavior to the point of sparking the kind of revival so desperately needed. The cost seems too great and/or God too distant to deny ourselves too much in the face of such a plethora of pleasures. Daily taking up one's cross seems both unnecessary and undesirable. So much so that for most, it may require nearly a complete lifestyle upheaval or at least a concentrated group effort.

To this end believers may do well to rekindle the Holy Clubs or Mission Societies of yesteryear, such as that of Wesley and Whitfield or even William Wilberforce's Claphman group. These and countless others over the centuries, up to and including the founding members of the Azusa Street Mission and subsequent revival, are shinning examples of the kind of radical commitment to both the cause of Christ and one another that may be able to brake the downward cycle of worldliness and deception in which we find ourselves and those we are called to love.

A major evidence of the goodness of God is Omnity's completely identification with humanity's needy and suffering . A constant theme throughout the Bible, it's centrality reaches its zenith in Christ's example and teaching. One reflected in His greatest treatise on the subject of salvation and living faith, including the Good Samaritan and Sheep and Goats, Rich Man and Lazarus and Rich Young Ruler.

As over 150 Pro-life Scriptures attest, the recipients of our godly thoughts and affections, prayer and efforts must include the pre-born. All Christians everywhere wishing to overcome abortions tragic effects on society and the church, prayer and even salvation do well to examine themselves to determine if and to what extent they and those with whom they fellowship and pray are authentically pro-life.


Author’s Note

By all indications, upcoming years and decades are likely to present ever more spiritual and social, financial and physical challenges for ourselves and families, friends and neighbors. Making matters worse, the state of current research and ministry strongly suggest that all aspects of today's anemic and all but powerless Churchianity are too subjective to successfully compete against the concrete demands and ubiquitous distractions, inflamed desires and mass deceptions presented by modern life.

Among the means at our disposal to combat such circumstances is the concept of moving beyond "praying for" into the realm of "pressing in" with the quantum hope of "praying through."

While individually Christians have over the years attempted as much, clearly our individual and even collective efforts have fallen far short. I myself have attended and/or led over 1,000 corporate prayer meetings and have yet to see Bethesda's waters significantly stirred, much less the promised and desperately needed "rivers of living water" or even "fountains springing up into eternal life."

Ruthlessly honest appraisal suggests that seeing our family and friends, fellow colleagues and Christians so often taken captive by this or that, the "strong man" among us must be bound to have been so personally and collectively plundered.

My sincere prayer is that none of the above is even remotely true. Would to God that the tenants of Churchianity prove largely correct. May everything be going to heaven rather than "hell in a hand basket.” Yet, should the preponderance of Scripture and evidence suggest the remotest possibility that the foregoing is even close to the truth, an appropriate response would begin with weekly if not daily revitalized corporate prayer. I don't mean what passes for prayer today, but rather something far more desperate, perhaps along the model of Azusa street.

2021 Update: The year 2020 marked an unanticipated acceleration in the deterioration of societal norms. With 2021 following in lockstep. Signs of the times boding poorly for modern Christianity, and society as a whole. The threat of present and future global pandemics abound. Economic tribulation reverberates worldwide.

By mid 2020, 43 million sought unemployment benefits in the U.S. alone. Coast to coast rioting and looting, violence and murder, over the justifiable death of career criminal George Floyd went unchecked. Not to mention a series of other false martyrs used by Antifa, Black Lives Mater and Democrats to promote and propagate the greatest unchecked anarchy in recent U.S. history. To the point of choreographing the likelihood of race riots with militias on both sides. All this while calling to defund the police, after already making the crucial job of society’s protectors all but impossible.

Scripture is clear such manipulations of facts and logic, much less the rebellion and anarchy they promote, are forbidden and will prove disastrous for all parties concerned:

  • “Doom to you who call evil good and good evil, Who put darkness in place of light and light in place of darkness, Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20 The Message
Accompanying the devastating fallout of unprecedented global and national impacts of COVID-19 has been the most obvious and successful campaign of disinformation. Medical and otherwise. Liberal elites and news outlets joined mega corporations and social media platforms to censor and vilify dissenting opinions. Sentiments shared by tens, if not hundreds of thousands of medical researchers and health care professionals regarding a variety of COVID-19 issues. Or more accurately, “biological agents” in regards to and the likelihood of irreversible, if not deadly, side effects.

During this unprecedented international campaign against global societies, in the U.S. such misinformation often went hand and hand with support of BLM rioting and looting, violence and murder. Domestic terrorism on a national scale sponsored by powerful liberals within government, media and business. Power brokers aiming the gun and pulling the trigger on American society during a flawlessly manufactured low point.

These kinds of previously unimaginably blatant and continual attacks would seem to be clearly orchestrated to introduce an entirely new sociopolitical era. One reinforced by vast supply lines of support and genuflection.

Never before have the spiritual and societal battle lines been drawn so clearly. Even the genocide of abortion is largely unseen. More a religious and moral issue than the publicly emboldened and highly praised BLM rioting and looting, violence and murder. A campaign of terror supplemented with the tearing down of monuments, while bestowing martyrdom and sainthood on felons.

A year or more of BLM insurrection received unprecedented support from the new and improved iron triangle of liberal politics, mass media and international corporations.

All the while, aside from political posturing, a majority of Republican leaders have done little to nothing to practically stem the tide of such obvious lawlessness. Neither did they meaningfully confront a long list of other evils besetting the nation.

Even when controlling the Presidency, Senate and House of Representatives during Donald Trumps first two years in office, Planned Parenthood was permitted to continue receiving federal funding. Once again, breaking Republican campaign promises.

A summary of just a few of the more unfortunate highlights of 2020-2021 alone provide shocking evidence that the times, they be a changing:

1. Abortion on Demand: Tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars are rightly spent to deliver a premature baby. Criminal charges of manslaughter, if not murder, are brought against killing an unborn child in the womb. If not requested by the mother. Late term and even partial birth abortions have long been legalized. All the while, Planned Parenthood, the world’s largest abortion provider, continues to receive tax payer funding allowing for the reallocation of revenues to promote abortion on demand. Such irrationality forwards the long held nonsensical philosophy that the scientific definition between a pre-born child and discardable tissue mass continues to be simply based on a particular mother’s momentary choice.

2. BLM/Antifa: Well over ten thousand protest and more than 500 violent, destructive and murderous riots were created, encouraged and justified by liberal politicians, media and global corporations across America.

All such anarchy was instigated by the gross misrepresentation of fictional systemic racism and lies regarding reported genocidal behavior on the part of police. Largely occasioned by the clearly justifiable death of the now sainted George Floyd, a career and violent criminal, threatening black and white lives for decades.

These same insurrectionists were allowed to loot and burn, violate and occupy homes and businesses, police and federal buildings at will, while destroying civic statues and defacing national monuments. In some cases, to the point of declaring their own autonomous zones in occupied cities.

All the while, many major urban areas, like that of the liberally governed Chicago of the Obamas, suffered more black on black violence and murder on a single weekend than all the semi questionable black police shootings in an entire year.

During this time the Woke agenda claimed systemic racism in every facet of American life, business and politics when clearly it was BLM/Antifa that had been given freedom to reign down discrimination and hate, destruction and theft, violence and murder on fellow citizens everywhere and of every color. Including their own.

3. Homosexuality/Transgenderism: First we are told men and women’s heterosexual and homosexual orientations are hard wired and not simply the product of appropriate or inappropriate sexual impulses or preferences.

With the false narrative of transgenderism, there is in fact now no scientifically based gender whatsoever. Thus logically there is no such thing as homosexuality. Suddenly, human biology is fluid, again based not on science but on however one pleases to self identify at any given moment.

Under President Biden’s executive order and bills such as the Equality Act, even elementary school children are encouraged to identify, not just as queer, but transgender. All evidence to the contrary. To the point of supporting or requiring the administering of biologically altering puberty blockers and even gender reassignment surgeries.

Girls are also required to allow boys to use their bathrooms, locker rooms and play as girls on their sport teams.

4. Non Binary: The next step on the liberal agenda has been the introduction of Woke terminology such as non binary, paving the way for any and all identification as anything or everything, once again based not on science but individual proclivity.

5. Dystopia: To complete the solidification of irrational and systemic lawlessness, language itself has been assaulted by nonsensical Woke idioms such as systemic and environmental racism, economic and environmental justice, white privilege and defund the police, non binary and gender pronouns, transgender theory and parenting.

All such illogical manipulations are far less about forwarding rational and coherent sociopolitical arguments than signally unity with the agenda of the ruling elite. A kind of signet or code, along the lines of the recent Marvel Avengers movies whispered and shouted, “Hail Hydra.”

A systematic silencing of many, if not most traditional values and dissenting opinions, is already in place. Including suspending then President Trumps social media accounts and deplatforming alternatives like Parlor.

Constant coverage by ultra left media and politics, education and corporations not only equates to the brainwashing of an entire generation, but frequently paints the entire conservative party as not only racists, but white supremacists. Actual creed or color notwithstanding.

Touting Ivy League education and superior savvy, the upper echelons of education and politics, media and business suggest and implement massive censoring and deplatforming of genuine science and reason, humanitarianism and religion. All the while falsely calling for peace and unity, while instituting anarchy and policies designed to sow discord and prejudice by a variety of means. Including embedding propagandist critical race theory throughout schools and the rest of society.

Woke’s terminology and expressions, cancel culture and BLM rioting have been nearly universal recognized and received not only in the U.S. but abroad by international media and corporations, globalist and liberal politicians. A tragic development, clearly in keeping with the adoption of the kind of Doublethink and Newspeak undermining society in George Orwell’s infamous dystopian novel 1984.

All these efforts and far more signal the emergence and growing supremacy of antinomianism by clearly calling “evil good and good evil.” A New World Order forwarded by the spirit of the Man of Lawlessness, long prophesied in Scripture.

In magic, misdirection is a form of deception in which the performer draws audience attention to one thing to distract from another.

All these efforts and far more serve to quantumly both veil and signal the emergence and growing supremacy of a new sociopolitical era.

All this and more raises a crucial question. If such radical leftest policies are taking place before our eyes, what is happening behind the curtain?

What lies beyond the creation of unprecedented emergency powers enabling implementation of global economic and institutional control, mandatory shelter in place and social distancing ordinances? Nefarious agendas having already orchestrated previously unknown closures of businesses and churches, schools and recreation around the world. Might even greater social and fiscal engineering plans and restrictions already be set in motion?

There is noteworthy speculation that such rapid and ominous changes are structured to promote and propagate sociopolitical control. Escalations designed to forward the infiltration of global society. On an international and national, state and community level. Leading to the rapid advancement of a New World Order. Possibly even the ushering in of the long foretold Antichrist, as well as the Mark of the Beast. The appearance of both, as Scripture plainly warns, predating Christ’s prophesied Rapture of the Church.

It’s not hard to imagine a scenario where the primary, secondary and tertiary effects of global catastrophes such as COVID-19, and its worrisome vaccine, play a significant role in the beginning of sorrows warned of in the gospels, epistles and Book of Revelation.

Many questions remain unanswered. Many mysteries persist. Yet amongst the COVID-19 affliction and aftermath, a single spiritual concern looms large.

What will it take to move modern Christians to reevaluate our present disastrous course?

What more need be threatened? If not forever lost? How much greater the disaster before we replace presumption with Biblical faith? When will fellowships and churches come with brokenness and contrition before the God we so casually invoke and yet daily offend?

Scripture complains that in the last church era, Jesus stands outside knocking on the door. Are we yet ready to appropriately respond to Christ through necessary pre-revival repentance in hope of experiencing our own Pentecost. With hundreds, if not thousands, of upper rooms?

Most needed now is a cure many find worse than the disease. A Scripturally accurate diagnoses of apathetic and anemic powerlessness. A prescription of rigorous honesty and radical discipleship. Followed with a comprehensive treatment of James 4’s Prayer of Anguish in hopes of recovering spiritual discernment and radical discipleship. As well as James 5’s Divine intervention of miraculous power.

Such a regimen is the only way for modern Christians to cure our free fall from grace and be reconciled to God. In this fashion, 21st century believers can truly follow Jesus and rest assured of salvation. By fulfilling even His more demanding commands, particularly in regards to Revelation’s account of Christ’s judgment of His church.

It should be abundantly clear things changed substantially in 2020. Nationally and globally, the world has never scene the like of even the following short list:

10. Drug cartel designer drug epidemic and death rate. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Carfentanil is a synthetic opioid approximately 10,000 times more potent than morphine and 100 times more potent than fentanyl. The U.S. government does not track death rates for every drug. However, the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention collects information on deaths involving many of the more commonly used drugs. Nearly 92,000 persons in the U.S. died from drug-involved overdose in 2020, including illicit drugs and prescription opioids. Up from less than 20,000 in 1999. Thats a 350% increase in 2020 with higher rates in 2022..

11. Escalation of US violent and property crime rates. Current odds are 1/178 that an American resident will be murdered during their lifetime.

12. Fuel and energy, transportation and economic crises created by faulty governmental policies and false media narratives.

13. Republican party is Controlled Opposition enabling Iron Triangle of liberal politics, media and corporations to deconstruct Judeo/Christian values. 12 Republicans declare "lawfare” on Christians by voting for so-called "Respect for Marriage Act" codifying federal support for homosexual marriage.

14. President Biden and Iron Triangle target Christian conservatives and/or MAGA Republicans as extreme and/or greatest threat to US.

15. Worldwide manipulation and control of all the above, as well as governments and economies, national budgets and banking, healthcare and communication, goods and services… by global elites implementing a Great Reset thus instituting a New World Order.
