Approaching God One Thought At A Time

I have an addiction to seeing God move in my life. When things are too comfortable, I ask God to set me up by invading my comfort zone.

Henry Gruver

For over 50 years Henry Gruver was the preeminent, if not only, World-Walking Prayer Warrior systematically traversing and interceding for innumerable cities spanning 70 nations across 6 continents.

Throughout his life Henry developed a unique Biblical worldview and ministry. One filled with countless Divine encounters with individuals and churches, impacting sinners and saints, young and old, across the globe.

Much of his testimony borders on the unbelievable. Yet having hosted Henry Gruver in the late 1990's, I can attest he may be the most authentic and loving Christian I've ever met. His character and credentials make the tenor of his message, and the power of his ministry, hard to resist.

GB highly recommends a deep dive into the words and wisdom, style and encouragement offered by Henry's singular experiences and visions. Several of which are covered by a series of late in life
interviews with Steve Quayle as pictured above.

Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.

- Psalms 89:15

Henry first answered the call to serve the Lord on New Year’s Day 1961. When he was just eighteen years old, he vowed for the whole year of 1961, “Lord, one night a week I will take 100 gospel tracts into downtown Phoenix, and not come home until I have personally handed them out.”

By the end of February, his enthusiastic start dwindled with discouragement at the sight of his tracts being tossed aside as common trash. He cried out to the Lord for something different to happen. The Lord replied, “
When you walk and give out tracts, only walk where and when you have full peace; and only give out tracts in the same peace.”  This simple principle would develop one of the most important phases of his life – prayer walking.

In his late thirties, Henry retired from his career in electronic engineering; he and Judith formed Joyful Sound Ministries and entered into full-time ministry. With twelve children to support it wasn’t an easy decision to quit his well-paying job and live on faith, but God told him and Judith to test Him for provision. For six months, without telling another soul, they progressively tithed the whole of his salary and watched God provide for all their needs.

They continued to live on faith, not revealing any needs, often financial provision would be the final confirmation in leading them to ministry overseas.

At
over the age of seventy, Henry was still vivid and powerful. He was originally a very shy person, but when he decided to give his life to the Lord, God used him to become a mighty warrior of evangelism.

Majoring more on the
kindness than the severity of God, Gruver‘s message continually emphasized the need for holiness as much as forgiveness. Equal parts prophetic and puritan, loving and kind, his track record speaks volumes. While Godblog may not share all of Henry’s spiritual insights and Scriptural emphasis, his successes are without number and we shall not likely see his like again. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. As Scripture reminds:

  • "The good men perish; the godly die before their time, and no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to realize that God is taking them away from evil days ahead." Isaiah 57:1-2 NLT
Such being the case, it comes as little or no surprise that after 77 years of incredibly devoted service, the Lord took His faithful friend home just months prior to the Covid-19 Plandemic, and its accompanying global overreach, giving rise to the Great Reset, already at work terraforming the world for the arrival of the Antichrist.

Henry's youngest son took over management of
his website for Joyful Sound Ministries, after his death on October 10, 2019. Already a difficult time according to his last newsletter, noting his wife's passing in August of 2018.

It's hard to do justice to Henry Gruver's uniqueness. For that reason, Gruver is best discovered and/or experienced in his own words. Below you'll find some of his most interesting and informative interviews and messaging. Do yourself a favor, listen and/or watch at least a few of links below.
