Modern Prophecy

Speaking about and for God takes many forms. As do those aspiring to do so. The vast majority of which supporting a variety of denominations, various Christs and versions of the gospel.

For better and worse, the proliferation of modern technology and social media now provides platforms and podiums to just about anyone. Combined global and national spikes in social unrest, pinpointing serious
political and spiritual problems, have unleashed a myriad of opinions. Constant tweets and podcasts, Youtube posts and Facebook Live feeds are only as helpful as they are accurate. Sadly, the wisdom of the court of public opinion is often lacking. Outside and inside modern Christianity. While Moses wished "all God's people were prophets," even among those more enlightened, genuine discernment regarding the Times and Seasons in which we live leaves much to be desired. Foreseeing such difficulties, both Old and New Testaments are filled with practical advice on testing today's teaching and preaching, predictions and prophecy.

If someone speaks, let him speak God’s words.

Reflecting on the marvels of creation and the precarious nature of human existence, not to mention the eternal ramifications of life and death, reveals that honest and accurate faith is not only reasonable, but essential.

Dealing with such
ultimate questions inexorably leads those authentically seeking God via compelling reasons to believe to the preeminence of Biblical Christianity.

Yet this is just the beginning of faith's journey. Once having grasped the supremacy and
authority of Scripture, we are confronted with more than 30,000 verses containing over 700,000 words. The meaning of many of which must be rightly understood and implemented to mature in living faith. All this must be done to provide realistic hope of salvation, and that by genuinely following the true Christ through the auspice of embracing His full gospel.

Honest and diligent students and teachers of Scripture must grapple with crucial questions. Which, and to what extent, do the multitude of passages extolling the kindness and severity of God apply to us?

To me?

What of the myriad of verses detailing God's
mercy and judgment? His love and wrath? Christ's compassionate promises and harsh commands? Heaven and Hell?

It's easy to see how
whole life and radical discipleship is necessary to complete such a daunting yet crucial task. One requiring nothing less than the kind of diligence the Bible demands:

  • "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

  • "Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified." 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NLT

  • "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absencecontinue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose." Philippians 2:12-13 NLT

  • "Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules. And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things." 2 Timothy 2:3-7 NLT
Christian diligence requires developing spiritual discernment. An all too rare virtue and gift first imparted by comprehending the Bible's meta messages of context and content. Then more fully developed by learning to walk in the Spirit.

Such concerns raise an important question. Beyond the kind of
honesty God desires most, what is the most necessary ingredient to accurately interpreting and appropriately applying Scripture? Much less prophecy?

In a word,
perspective...

We must become willing and able to fully recognize and embrace who we are, where we are, when we are and what God is about to do.

All this would be best explained by someone having the Scriptural expertise and miraculous power necessary to convey such a hotly contested message.

Failing that,
Prophetic Christians must arise capable of adequately discerning the full measure of the deteriorating times and season in which we live.

Sadly we are far from fully understanding, much less adequately apprehending, the Bible's true objective. The
genuine gospel of the resurrected Christ was designed to radiate such heavenly glory as to literally transform sinners into saints. By means of becoming entirely New Creations, filled to overflowing with the miraculous fruit and gifts of the Spirit, the Church was commissioned to be nothing less that the very salt and light of the world.

Modern Christianity has fallen short of this sacred trust in every way imaginable. Nevertheless, multitudes continue to share their faith, and at times their fears, often in hopes of promoting God's mercy and love. For these and other reasons, evangelism and discipleship, service and leadership are Biblical and worthy goals:

  • "But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them?" Romans 10:14 MSG
  • "If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, good! But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he’s talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry…" 1 Timothy 3:1-3 MSG 
The total commitment and radical discipleship of the 1st Century Church was marvelous in many ways. Unlike the poor doctrine and worldly lifestyles of 21st Century Churchianity, their willingness to receive correction and endure persecution laid the foundation for billions of future believers.

Such unprecedented success was due in part to their adherence to Scriptural safeguards placed throughout the Old and New Testaments. Scores of verses encourage God's people to rise to the challenges of the
Times and Season in which they live. For example:

  • "Everyone’s after the dishonest dollar, little people and big people alike. Prophets and priests and everyone in between  twist words and doctor truth. My people are broken—shattered!—and they put on Band-Aids, Saying, ‘It’s not so bad. You’ll be just fine.’ But things are not ‘just fine’! Do you suppose they are embarrassed over this outrage? No, they have no shame. They don’t even know how to blush. There’s no hope for them. They’ve hit bottom and there’s no getting up. As far as I’m concerned, they’re finished.” God has spoken." Jeremiah 6:14-15 MSG
  • "Knowing the correct password—saying ‘Master, Master,’ for instance—isn’t going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, ‘Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.’ And do you know what I am going to say? ‘You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit. You’re out of here.’" Matthew 7:21-23 MSG
  • "Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it." 2 Corinthians 13:5 MSG
  • "Do your best to win full approval in God's sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God's truth." 2 Timothy 2:15 GNT
  • "And the quality of each person's work will be seen when the Day of Christ exposes it. For on that Day fire will reveal everyone's work; the fire will test it and show its real quality. If what was built on the foundation survives the fire, the builder will receive a reward. But if your work is burnt up, then you will lose it; but you yourself will be saved, as if you had escaped through the fire." 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 GNT
In regards to teachings on spiritual gifts and/or preaching prophetically, the New Testament offers additional directives:

  • "Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you long for the day of the Lord? That day will be darkness, not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him. Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light—pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness? “I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are a stench to me. Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them. Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!" Amos 5:18-24 NIC
  • "Follow, then, the way of love, while you set your heart on the gifts of the Spirit. The highest gift you can wish for is to be able to speak the messages of God." 1 Corinthians 14:1-3 GNT
  • "So let two or three prophets speak [those inspired to preach or teach], while the rest pay attention and weigh and discern what is said." 1 Corinthians 14:29 AMPC
  • "Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what’s good. Throw out anything tainted with evil.

The call to diligence discernment extends beyond doctrinal difference, and even past rightly understanding the times and seasons introduced by the
new social-political era in which we live. Modern day prophecies and predictions, while somewhat rare from pulpits, abound on social medial. Up to an including a plethora of voices directly and indirectly forecasting a second term for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. In point fact, not only were Joe Biden and Kamala Harris inaugurated on January 20, 2021, but the gains of Trumps initial victory were overturned when Republicans lost the presidency, house and senate.

Not only this, but today’s prognosticators failed to predict the global
COVID-19 pandemic, nor have they, any denomination or governing party responded Biblically to the drastic events of 2020 resulting in the literally burning of businesses and cities, while endangering families and communities all across American.

Clearly
modern prophecy is largely out of its depth.

The Book of Revelation begins and ends with further words of encouragement and warning in regards to interpreting and teaching prophecy:

  • "How blessed the reader! How blessed the hearers and keepers of these oracle words, all the words written in this book! Time is just about up." Revelation 1:3 MSG
  • "I give fair warning to all who hear the words of the prophecy of this book: If you add to the words of this prophecy, God will add to your life the disasters written in this book; if you subtract from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will subtract your part from the Tree of Life and the Holy City that are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19 MSG
Modern Christianity shows little or no regard for such passages. Quick to assume salvation, millions if not billions have and continue to mistake presumption for living faith. Further assured by such false doctrines as unconditional acceptance and eternal security, a pre-tribulation rapture and inappropriate worship.

The disconnect between today's
Churchianity and Biblical Christianity is as multifaceted as it is entrenched. The primary cause is a basic misunderstanding of Scripture's context, which in turn leads to a variety of misinterpretations of the Bible's content. While no longer in vogue, the narrative from Genesis to Revelation is clearly one of Conflict Theology.

The Bible's full of passages detailing the havoc caused by the great and fallen Archangel once called Lucifer or in Hebrew הילל בן־שׁחר Helel Ben-Shachar. Like the gravitational force of dark matter and energy, the effects of his ancient angelic rebellion and current campaign of temptation and terror, encompass the entire Earth.

There are hundreds of Bible verses
directly and indirectly referencing Satan's significance. Specific passages in the New King James Version include the usage of the name Lucifer (1), Satan (54), Devil (34), Dragon (13) and Evil One (5). Additionally, Scripture's use of words such as temptation (13), deception (6), pain (43), death (428), evil (491) and sin (1153) can be indirectly attributed to the architect of disobedience.

There is an essential difference between the Biblical narrative and that of Churchianity. If Christianity’s a cruise ship, sailing merrily from here to Heaven, then certainly Christ's costly atonement is all that is necessary. The cross of Christ is indeed all anyone could ever need. If however, Heaven and Earth are currently at war with fallen angels and devils, Christianity is a battleship and we must follow our Commander and Chief's example and directives by daily shouldering our own.

Even if Christianity could be likened to a pleasure cruise, given Churchianity’s collision course with so many modern temptations and deceptions, up to an including immorality and the blood red mountainous iceberg of abortion, in certain respects might even many well intended ministries be reduced to simply arranging deck chairs on the Titanic?

So is Christianity a cruise or gunship? We must decide. And do so quickly and carefully. Military directives and drills, cramped quarters and sea rations, would be absurd on a pleasure cruise. So too, civilian itineraries and activities, opulent suites and sumptuous banquets, would be anathema during a time of war.  

Previous generations understood the serious nature of the spiritual war in which we are engulfed. Its reality filled their prayers and even worship. Reflecting the difficulties of their day, traditional hymns were infused with Scripture. Filled with inspiring lyrics of loyalty and camaraderie, their melodies were meant to encourage and provide solace in the face of hardship. Like bugle calls to reveille, such battle songs of heaven's republic served as constant reminders of the blessed hope the faithful have in God.

Today, not so much. A sign of unprecedented affluence, life’s battlefield often seems far removed. With technological advances all but conquering basic challenges, we savor the ease of victory. On the flip side, spiritual conflict is at an all time high. Once subtle, challenges to Christianity have grown brazen. America, and the world, have crossed the threshold into a new social and political era. A hallmark of the ever darkening Times and Seasons in which we live. And far worse appear visible on the horizon. While woefully one-sided, modern Christianity is at war. With an Enemy we deny. With God Whom we offend. With Scripture we blithely disobey. With the world we embrace. With society, which is going from bad to worse. With eternity… which swiftly approaches.



Prove All Things

Understanding the Bible's most emphasizes meta messages is a necessary prerequisite for rightly interpreting Scripture. Developing spiritual sensitivity is also indispensable in learning to discern the reality often obfuscated by secular and religious culture. As Jesus warned:

  • "Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously." John 7:24 AMPC
  • "But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]." 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 AMP
Scripture provides assistance in its directive to practice spiritual sensitively and discernment. In this regard, GB offers scores of articles and the following short list summary:


1. Conflict Theology: Grasping Scripture's context is key to interpreting Biblical content. As such, accurately appreciating the cosmic spiritual warfare engulfing mankind is the first fundamental test validating today's teaching and preaching, predictions and prophecy. To the degree this crucial Biblical narrative is underdeveloped, misinterpreted or missing, even the most well intended or informed messages fail to accurately speak about, much less for, the Kingdom of God as revealed in Scripture. 2. Times and Seasons: It's a sobering fact that the information age, particularly given the rise of social media, has produced vast quantities of disinformation. An irony soundly denounced by all sides of the aisle. Millions of the most educated men and women to ever exist, to say nothing of their less informed counterparts, profoundly disagree on many aspects of nearly every vital issue facing mankind. A sad state of affairs made all the more tragic by ubiquitous and growing levels of temptation and deception, entitlement and sin. An unfortunate situation further exacerbated by recent global events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, with vast medical and social, economic and religious ramifications.

Such signs of the times bode poorly for modern Christianity, and society as a whole. As do every other indicator imaginable. The threat of present and future global pandemics abound. Economic tribulation reverberates worldwide. Forty three million sought unemployment benefits in the U.S. alone. Coast to coast rioting and looting, violence and murder, over the justifiable death of career criminal George Floyd going unchecked for months. Not to mention a series of other false martyrs used by Antifa, Black Lives Mater and Democrats to promote and propagate the greatest unchecked anarchy in recent U.S. history. To the point of choreographing race riots with militias on both sides (if link does not play click here to download militia video). All this while calling to defund the police after already making the crucial job of society's protectors all but impossible.

These dire straights, with even greater
looming on the horizon, make it all the more imperative that Prophetic Christians quickly learn to honestly and correctly evaluate the current and growing challenges of our age. For our own sake, and that of our family and friends, country and world.

Woefully, the only thing exceeding the level of our current and future need is our unpreparedness. Unprecedented
worldliness is rampant within both modern society and Churchianity. Just as serious Bible study and prayer are at all time lows. A one-two punch leaving the average church attender unable to quote, much less rightly interpret and obey, 10 verses in a row. And largely unwilling to stop and seriously pray even 10 minutes daily.

With obvious errors in regards to such major concerns, it's little wonder complex matters requiring
greater discernment and perception are continually misconstrued. As Jesus warned the people of God in His day:

  • "Then he said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once that it is going to rain, and so it does. And when you feel the south wind blowing, you say that it is going to be hot, and so it is. You frauds! You know how to interpret the look of the earth and the sky. Why can’t you interpret the meaning of the times in which you live?” Luke 12:54-46 PHILLIPS
Erroneous doctrines go far beyond profound problems regarding Biblical interpretation of basic tenants. They afflict all aspect of modern theology up to and including eschatology, as exemplified in the prevalent misnomer of a pre-tribulation rapture. Consider also Churchianity's response, or lack thereof, to the current global COVID-19 pandemic. The modern world has never yet seen its equal. Not since the 1918 Spanish Flu has a pathogen killed so many. Never have billions been forced into extended lockdown. Never has the global economy been in such disarray. Never have non essential businesses, including religious institutions, been ordered to close their doors. Never have Christian churches around the world been shuttered on Easter Sunday. Never has such a universal crises been so clearly defined. Nor the unique spiritual opportunity such suffering affords, so greatly ignored.

All this as the specters of apocalyptic events appear looming on the horizonSome, like Matt Walsh, a cultural and political commentator, pinpoint glaring lapses in judgment and common sense. Others forward more nefarious social and spiritual scenariosRegarding a COVID-19 vaccine, there are a great many reasons for caution, up to and including genuine concerns in regards to efficacy and safety, not to mention medical professionals questioning plans to roll out genetic manipulation and even nano technology. 3. Prophetic Christians: Prophetic Christians are exceptionally honest and studious Bible students and intercessors, grasping much of both the context and content of Scripture. Such men and women seek God in faith, reasoning that He's said what He means and means what He's said. They are fully persuaded "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." In a quatumly spiritual sense, they embrace and emphasize both Christ's mercy and love, as well as harsh words and judgment of His church. Possessed of deep and abiding repentance, they labor for revival in the hope and fear of God. Understanding both the love and "terror of the Lord" they endeavor to persuade both themselves and others to soldier on. To daily take up their cross and follow Jesus. To choose eternal life rather than death.

Knowing they too 
are sinners, they treat family and friends, neighbors and even enemies as they would be treated: firm, fair, factual and friendly. They compel the lost, including apathetic and disobedient Christians, to come into the Kingdom by first speaking the truth in love. Should compassion fail, they spend themselves and their lives trying to pull lost humanity from the fire.

Even so, Prophetic Christians frequently fail to correctly discern the Times and Seasons. The nuances of those in which we live, and those which are swiftly approaching. For example, having attended and/or led well over a thousand corporate prayer meetings, a rarity in and of themselves, more often than not I've listened to intercessors out of tune and step with the what the Spirit is saying to the modern church. Once, deep into an all night prayer meeting that I had arranged, a well versed Christian women with decades of prayer meetings under her belt, skillfully wove together a beautiful tapestry of Scriptures. Most focusing on the promises of God, including those made to Joshua and the Israelites during the Exodus. While sincerely offered, what she and so many fail to realize, is that our time and place in history, and the Scriptures, is not in keeping with the Jewish Exodus but Exile. The Old Testament passages we should be mining for prayerful meaning are not those of exaltations of Joshua but the lamentations of Jeremiah. As well as Habukkuk's complaint and the glaring warnings of all the minor prophets.

Judaism had the glory and deliverance of Moses and the Exodus. Christianity the glory and empowerment of Christ and Pentecost. After nearly two millennia of obedience and blessing, disobedience and reproof, the long foretold Exile created the
Jewish diaspora. In keeping with Ezekiel's terrible prophecy, a third of Israel died by "disease or hunger," a third was slaughtered by the sword and "a third thrown to the wind and chased by killers." Along with others, Isaiah, recognized as perhaps the greatest of the major prophets, warned of six woes. Even going so far as to walk about naked for three years to make his point.

Understanding the
Times and Seasons strongly suggests that prayers and worship reflecting the Exodus are discordant with Biblical revelation of our time and place in history. Those reminiscent the Exile are far more in keeping with our present and future challenges, including terrifying judgment against America and modern society against unprecedented sins of quantity and quality. As well as the stage being set for Revelation's Great Tribulation.


4. Bible's Top 10: In the Bible alone, religion and science reach their zenith. As do every other genre. From action and adventure, to crime and mystery. From thriller and occult, to fantasy and science fiction. Each on a global and eternal scale!  So much so, Scripture rightfully and frequently testifies of its own excellence, as King David's extolled:

  • "The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalms 19:7-14 NIV
Justifiably high praise indeed. Yet, even among the Bible's adherents, surprisingly few take the whole Bible seriously. Many are too busy to care. Others feel guilty. Many verses are too violent. Others can be offensive. Some passages seem mythological. Others beyond the realm of sci-fi. Not to mention frequent feelings of isolation and frustration exacerbated by the perceived silence and distance of God.

All such objections deserve answersQuantum Christianity has been designed as a bridge between general revelation, as revealed by nature and science, and special revelation, as reveled by Scripture and Christianity. As well as to narrow the growing gap between 1st century Biblical Christianity and 21st century modern Churchianity by providing a plethora of articles and booksmodern psalms and contemporary proverbs. Even so, a few Biblical cliff notes might be in order.

For this purpose, following list of ten are offered for consideration and discourse. Top 10 nominees are submitted within the categories of Biblical Concepts and Crucial ScripturesDoctrinal Errors and Lifestyle Challenges. All topics those who presume to speak about and for the Kingdom of God should thoughtfully weigh and clearly understand. All the more so given the serous ramifications of the new social and political era in which we find ourselves.


5. Pre-Revival Repentance: Given the quantum nature of living out our faith, it’s preferable to major on the positive rather than dwell on negatives. After all, even when fractured into scores of denominations and plagued by worldliness, a lot can be said for modern Christianity. We enjoy our beautiful churches and programs. We’re comforted by encouraging worship and messages. We value relationships with leaders and fellow believers. All well intentioned attitudes the New Testament seems to support:


  • “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8 NIV

Notice this appealing list begins with whatever is “true.” Then, as if to lay a secure foundation, it continues with “noble” and “right” and “pure.” Far from promoting positivism and unity at the cost of honesty and discernment, such passages underscore the need for first the former and then the latter.

With every indicator of spiritual health pegged in the red, it’s clear
modern life’s onslaught of doubt and worldliness, temptation and deception, has left Churchianity in desperate need of revival. If not reformation. All the more so when considering Christ’s judgment of His churches in the Book of Revelation and the stage being set for John’s prophecy of the Great Tribulation. This discloses a serious concern. Is God more likely to pour out His Spirit on sinful and self absorbed believers, or those first following Scripture’s formula for repentance in prayerful and studious brokenness and humility?

From evangelism to
discipleship, from doctrine to practice, from worship to communion, from prayer to miraculous power, Churchianity has so fallen from grace as to need a re-baptism. The original outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost gave birth and empowerment to the 1st century church. This unprecedented move of God began with John the Baptist’s message of extreme repentance preparing the way for Christ. 

Few appreciate what an amazingly significant role John’s accomplishment played in preparing "
stubborn and hardheaded” believers for the appearance of their Redeemer. Without a single recorded miracle, John's coming in the spirit of Elijah, accomplished what Elijah’s three accounts of heavenly fire could not. Jews, perhaps even including Pharisees, came to immerse themselves in the waters of the Jordan. The entire region thereby participating in an unprecedented act of repentance

Baptism, as instituted by John, exemplified by Jesus and implemented by the apostles was Scripturally unique. While the concept may have arisen from the Jewish ceremonial washings of
Mikveh, John's application was certainly next generation. John used baptism to demonstrate his message of extraordinary repentance by requiring Jews to undergo a rite reserved for Gentile converts. Baptism, for example, is listed by the Jewish philosopher Maimonides, along with circumcision and sacrifice, as one of the three requirements for Gentile proselytes to Judaism. By commanding Israel to repent and be baptized, John dramatized his message that God’s people had fallen from their privileged position as "sons of Abraham." 

There is no modern equivalent in Christendom. Even the Pope commanding all Catholics to be re-baptized and re-confirmed, and/or a Billy Graham figure demanding all Born Again Christians get back to the altar and pray through until it took, would fail in comparison. Such proclamations would be as radical as they would be unwelcomed. Yet, not nearly so much as that of the Baptist’s. Jews inherited their faith and had never been baptized into it to begin with. Additionally, males proudly carried in their bodies the mark of sanctification through circumcision. 

Of particular interest is the method John employs for his altar call. The first of only two recorded in the New Testament. Establishing himself as the Baptist, he calls Israel to repentance, yet note the tenor of his accusation and its unusual timing. While his audience obediently responds, John stops them short with a
strange question:

  • Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Luke 3:7-9 NKJV
What makes John's accusation so bizarre is the obvious answer to his question, "Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?"  One easily imagines the crowds confused glances as they answer, "You did you crazy preacher."

John seems to rubs Israel's nose in their
unworthiness to even repent.  And this before they had met, much less rejected, their Messiah. The no doubt offended and perplexed church of his day, pressed by his menacing warnings, cried out in confusion:

  • So the people asked him, saying, “What shall we do then?” He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Collect no more than what is appointed for you.” Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages."... And with many other exhortations he preached to the people. Luke 3:10-18 NKJV
John's less than seeker friendly message is accentuated by his style and further sharpened by his directives. He demands more than words or emotions. Like his cousins Jesus, James and Jude he clearly shows saving faith requires action. Not attitudes or platitudes. Additionally, the Baptist seems to agree with Jesus and Paul, James and the Apostle John, that the second great commandment, to love one's neighbor, is the best way to fulfill the first great commandment's duty to love God.

Given how far
21st century Churchianity has fallen from not only 1st century Christianity, but the Judaism of the period that produced it, one wonders what acts of pre-revival repentance might be necessary should we hope for a New Pentecost.  With the lifestyle of Christians in the First World largely indistinguishable from our worldly counterparts, neither of which measure up to yesterday's honest heathens the gospel was intended to reach and change, we are in dire need of such a revival.

Further troubling are Scripture's many warnings dealing with just such a scenario. Particularly End Times ones. The
prophets, Jesus and His apostles all agree that "God is not mocked.” As we sow, so shall we reap. While still today, Omnity in merciful patience extends salvation to those who by living faith embrace costly rather than cheep grace. To this end, identifying the differences are important. A frequently overlooked first step in turning from darkness to light and learning to approach God acceptably.

While it is crucial to avoid merely
drawing near to God with our lips, drawing near we must. Let us develop reason to hope He is still calling, "Come let us reason together." Let us accept His most generous offer before it is rescinded. As Peter warns, God's inaction should not be mistaken as acquiescence or approval, "but is long suffering towards us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." 

Even so, His patience is not forever.  As Peter continues:

  • “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.  Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?” 2 Peter 3:10-11 NKJV
Peter’s is an extremely timely question. One answered by a most insightful and challenging repentance checklist authored by Charles Finney. Prior to his untimely death, the famous Christian performer Keith Green, founder of Last Days Ministries, paraphrased and promoted Finney’s outline entitled, “Breaking Up The Fallowed Ground.” This one page trifold tract may be purchased from Last Days Ministries.

With such thoughts in mind, we do well to individually and collectively practice the vanishing arts of
brokenness and repentance, honesty and humility. Let us cease trading presumption for faith, in our prayers and worship, teaching and fellowship. Having done so, by all means let us cautiously yet boldly approach Omnity’s “throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”


6. Prayer of Anguish: It's been said, "God doesn't answer prayer, He answers desperate prayer." The Prayer of Anguish is simply the appropriate response to our current circumstance. A true fact, regardless of who, where or when you are. Given our 100% mortality rate, coupled with vast physical and spiritual, social and economic human need, mankind's state is perilous at best. Both collectively and individually. A fundamental circumstance shared by everyone everywhere. Young and old, healthy and sick, rich and poor. A condition Scripture warns should actually be of greater concern for the proud and powerful, wealthy and prosperous, happy and content than for our less fortunate counterparts.

The above description is the ultimate inconvenient truth. As universally apparent as it is ignored. It's far more pleasant for those enjoying previously
unimaginable blessings to deny such unpleasantries, or at least shelve such issues for a more convent time.

For
modern Christianity it's easier than most. Scripture's over 23,000 verses contain volumes of hope and promise. Often so beautifully and magnanimously stated, our natural response is to assume we've nothing to fear. Even when the New Testament uses the word "fear" over 100 times, frequently as a command to Christians in regard to salvation. Such as that from Paul, fondly called the Apostle of Grace, to his beloved Philippians, and every Christian since: "Therefore, my dear fiends, as you have always obeyed not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling…" These passages, and more, fly in the face of those who play fast and loose with the truth. Both within and without modern Christianity. It's a bad bet to presume to lead and teach before getting the facts straight. To gamble condemnation in this life, punishment before the judgment seat of Christ and/or eternal damnation of ourselves and those we lead astray.

Jesus explained that God the Father must be worshiped in "spirit and truth." While truth may have many facets, honesty plays an essential role. The modern world, including Churchianity, seems unwilling or incapable of candor regarding our desperate situation. Understandably so, since such confessions hardly fill stadiums or theaters, pews or bank accounts. Or garnish shares and subscribers promoting and monetizing posts. The resulting reality is that righteousness has been replaced by situational ethics or none at all. And that with hardly a fight.

The Bible explains that given we are all telling ourselves a story, understanding Scripture takes spiritual sensitivity. All the more so today when modern life is filled with pleasant distractions, not to mention unprecedented levels of temptation and deception, worldliness and sin.

For understandable reasons few today are interested in an
honest handling of Scripture's most emphasized themes, particularly in regards to owning up to the implications of God's apparent silence and distance. Not to mention Jesus judging His church. A point well made by the late great David Wilkerson and others. Such messages as “A Call To Anguish” and “A Time To Wake Up” rank as some of the best ever preached.

“A Time To Wake Up” begins with “
Today you will rarely find a message on repentance.” “A Call To Anguish” (abridged version) begins with "Folks… I’m tired of hearing about revival. I’m tired of hearing about awakenings… Of last day outpourings of the Holy Spirit… I've heard that rhetoric for 50 years… Just Rhetoric. No meaning whatsoever. I’m tired of hearing about people in the church who say that they want their unsaved loved ones saved… I’m tired of hearing people say I’m concerned about my troubled marriage when it’s just talk… Rhetoric. And I look at the whole religious scene today and all I see are the inventions and ministries of man and flesh. It’s mostly powerless. It has no impact on the world. And I see more of the world coming in and impacting the church rather than the church impacting the world. I see music taking over the house of God. I see entertainment taking over the house of God. An obsession with entertainment in God’s house, A hatred of correction and a hatred of reproof. Nobody wants to hear it any more… Whatever happened to anguish in the house of God? Whatever happened to anguish in the ministry? It’s a word you don’t hear in this pampered age. You don’t hear it. Anguish means extreme pain and distress. The emotion so stirred that it becomes painful. Acute deeply felt inner pain because of the conditions about you, in you, or around you… Anguish. Deep Pain. And Sorrow. Agony of God’s heart…"

And sprinkled throughout this
fearfully honest sermon David further cries:

  • All true passion is born out of anguish. All true passion for Christ comes out of a baptism of anguish.
  • Hear’s what God said, “I’ve heard the words of this people. They have well said all that they have spoken. O that there were such a heart in them. That they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always that it might be well with them, and their children forever!”
  • “When I (Nehemiah) heard these words (regarding the ruin of Jerusalem) I set down and wept. And morned certain days and fasted. And prayed before the God of heaven.”
  • We face a similar situation except ours is many times worse.
  • Does it matter to you at all that God’s spiritual Jerusalem, the church, is now married to the world?
  • Does it matter about the Jerusalem that’s in our own hearts? The sign of ruin that is slowly draining spiritual power and passion? Blind to lukewarmness. Blind to the mixture that’s creeping in.
  • You won’t fight. You won’t labor in prayer anymore. You won’t weep before God anymore. You can sit and watch television and your family go to hell!
  • Does it really matter to you that your unsaved loved ones are dying and we’re getting closer and closer to the end?
  • Where’s the anguish. Where’s the tears. Where’s the mourning? Where’s the fasting?
  • It’s going to take more than preaching. More than a new revelation.
  • There’s going to be no renewal, no revival, no awakening until we’re willing to let Him once again break us. Folk’s it’s getting late and it’s getting serious.

This is classic Wilkerson. Anguishing over the
fall of God’s people. Throughout David’s 50 year ministry he witnessed a downward spiral of spiritual disciplines such as prayer and Bible study, sanctification and service. During the very same period in which we were given unprecedented wealth and prosperity. As in Christ’s warnings in the Rich Man and Lazarus and Good Samaritan, we’ve refused to humble ourselves over the spiritual loss both around and within. Like Laodicea we’ve been deceived into believing we’re on a cruise rather than battle ship. It’s one thing to fight and fail and quite another to fail to fight. 7. New Creation: Authentic Christianity can be as easy as it is hard. On the one hand, a truthful handling of Scripture yields a plethora of insight into heavenly wisdom. On the other, the Bible itself warns it’s far more than a collection of proverbs and principles:

  • "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." Hebrews 4:12-13 NIV
  • "But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated." 1 Corinthians 2:14 AMPC
  • "But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him]." 1 Corinthians 2:15 AMPC

The verses above and many others like them highlight both Scripture’s true challenge and potential:

1. One must be willing to not only diligently study the Bible (hard enough given the daily distractions and temptations of modern life) but then in turn be studied by it. This includes embarking on a never ending pilgrimage of brokenness and repentance in regards to worldliness and sin, sanctification and living faith.

2. Those wishing to progress (have 5-10-20… years of experience rather than a year or two of experience 5-10-20 times) must wrestle with the reality that many of the requirements of radical discipleship run contrary to “natural, nonspiritual” wisdom. Another uphill battle made all the more difficult by the easy believism and cheep grace universally offered by Modern Christianity.

3. The final leg of the journey deals with developing increasing sensitivity to and expertise in walking in the Holy Spirit. Continual attention must be paid to increasing both the quality and quantity of verifiable Divine fruit and gifts of the Spirit.

Truth be told, all the above is just preparation for a metamorphoses from
“mere men” into a New Creation.” Just as a caterpillar must enter a chrysalis and emerge a butterfly, so too Biblical Christianity requires a rebirth allowing for the emergence of Divine spiritual physics previously impossible:

  • "You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere human beings?" 1 Corinthians 3:3-4 NIV
  • "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26 NIV
  • "May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation." Galatians 6:14-15 NIV
  • "So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!" 2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NIV
  • "Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? But instead, one brother takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."1 Corinthians 6:2-10 NIV
  • "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1-2 NKJV
  • "in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8:4-8 NIV
Through the costly atonement of Christ and infilling of the Holy Spirit, the New Testament offers a remarkable remedy. A transformation into a new kind of entity, neither “Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female.” A metamorphoses from “mere humans” into an entirely New Creation!

Why do so few perceive, much less pursue, such an expansive promise? One objection is straightforward. Life’s busy, packed with daily responsibilities. Anything more seems too much. But is it? Through innovation and technology we’ve been given previously unheard of free time and instant access to all the resources of the information age. For such a critical concern as eternal life, can we not dedicate half the commitment of a high school football player or Facebook mom in an effort to seek and save that which is lost? Including the better part of our entire generation and the next. How? By recovering the transformation power of Pentecost necessary to complete such a crucial task. Close But Not Quite

Hundreds of thousands of well educated clergy and laity alike fail the test of "accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth." Most are unfamiliar with repentive and honest Bible study and interpretation. Particularly in regards to the rules of emphasis and inference. Not to mention overlooking or undervaluing the context of conflict theology, an essential element in comprehending Scriptures vast content.

Even those discerning some or much of the above often cannot see certain crucial aspects of the forest for the trees. Some vital concerns, such as the impact of
abortion on the Church and the importance of being authentically pro-life remain hidden in blindspots. Consider the somewhat famous end time book, "The Harbinger… The Ancient Mystery that holds the Secret of America's Future" first published in 2012. As is the case with so many recent and influential Christian books, the New York Times best selling author Jonathan Cahn failed to mention the word "abortion" a single time. Even given abortion had been legalized in California since 1967 and the U.S. in 1973, almost forty years earlier. Not to mention the total of over a billion clinical and contraceptive abortions at that time represented at least 4 times the entire Earth's population in Christ's day! The same Christ who repeatedly warned in such crucial teachings as the Sheep and Goats and Good Samaritan, Rich Man and Lazarus and Rich Young Ruler, that each of our eternal destiny's will be largely determined by what we did and didn't do to and for His "least brothers."

Decades late to the pro-life party, other books of
Jonathan Cahn partly give abortion its due. Noting its collateral damage on society, while failing to do justice to abortion's terribly successful campaign on its primary target, modern Christianity. Including its impact on such sacraments as worship and communion, prayers and even salvation. Recently he held a large scale self described Sacred Assembly called "The Return" with a primary focus on abortion, while calling for repentance leading to revival to address the otherwise disastrous fate of America. If not the world. His short introductory video was well made and contains many undeniable truths. His 50 minute video recorded message presented at the event was extremely well written and delivered. His research and insights, if correctly fact checked, were impressive indeed. Nevertheless, several serious errors remain. Both in kind and degree.

The Return, filling the National Mall and providing simulcast global accompaniment, was an impressive event featuring a roster of many well known Christian celebrities. Including President Trump Honoring “The Return” National Prayer and Repentance Day with an Official White House Proclamation:

  • "On this inaugural National Day of Prayer and Return, the First Lady and I join millions of Christians here in the United States and around the world in prayer, as we turn our hearts to our Lord and Savior. Our great Nation was founded by men and women of deep and abiding faith—a faith that has stood the test of time. Four hundred years ago, early American settlers trusted their lives to His providence and braved a voyage to a New World.  From the pilgrims who sought His protection aboard the Mayflower to the countless believers who today bow their heads to ask for His guidance during these unprecedented times, our country continues to turn to the Lord.  Following in our ancestors’ footsteps we continue the “firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence” that provides us enduring strength and reassurance in our times of need. The trials and tribulations the American people have faced over the past several months have been great.  Yet, as we have seen time and again, the resolve of our citizenry—fortified by our faith in God—has guided us through these hardships and helped to unite us as one Nation under God.  As we continue to combat the challenges ahead of us, we must remember the sage words of President George Washington during his first Presidential Address: “propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.”  As a country and a people, let us renew our commitment to these abiding and timeless principles. Today, I am pleased to join my voice to yours in thanking God for blessing this nation with great power and responsibility.  With reverence, humility, and thanksgiving, we beg for His continued guidance and protection."
In light of the unprecedented events of 2020, including the ongoing repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic and months long BLM domestic terrorist attacks, the perilous spiritual and socioeconomic state of America, if not the world, is of the utmost concern. As The Return event's founder, Jonathan Cahn's message warrants careful consideration.

Pro's

1. Clearly the events of 2020 are unprecedented and demand spiritual discernment.

2. Christians are commanded by Christ to be alert, attentive, ready and prayerful as end time events draw near.

3. Christians are directed to "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation." And following God's perfect formula for repentance, humble ourselves and pray, seek God's face and turn from our wicked ways.

4. Many of America's founders where devout Christians intent on radical discipleship and evangelism.

5. America has not only lost its way, but is quickly becoming an enemy to itself and the gospel of Christ.

6. Abortion in is not only sinful, but racist by particularly targeting minorities, and as such is an anathema against God.

7. We stand at a crossroads, faltering between two opinions. Good or evil. Life or death.

8. There are divinely ordained parallels between Israel and America.

9. Repentance is our only hope of revival and a return to the sanctification and power of the early Church as demonstrated by the Book of Acts. Whatever it takes.

10. Prophetic advice, particularly Joel 2, directs God's people to repentant and embrace the kind of obedience required when calling the Sacred Assembly. And "afterward" God promises to greatly pour out His Spirit.

The partial list of important points referenced above are to be commended as well developed by Jonathan Cahn's message and intent in organizing The Return. Furthermore, any critique would be so subtle in nature that few, if any, would agree.

Nevertheless, that the following partial list of criticisms, based on the more positive points referenced above, is necessary should become clear to the more
honest and studious Prophetic Christian. GB's Quantum Christian Topical Commentary was created for just such an exacting task. In hopes of bridging the growing gap between 1st Century Biblical Christianity and 21st Century modern Churchianity in as fair and firm, factual and friendly manner as possible. Particularly during such perilous times and seasons in which we live and those looming on the horizon. All the more so among those endeavoring to draw near to God, Whom is a consuming fire:

  • "See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:25-29 NKJV

Con's

1. The unprecedented events of 2020 require greater spiritual sensitivity and accurate discernment than many of the most celebrated Christians care to admit, or are currently capable of. This includes recognizing that as in nature, so supernatural darkness abhors a vacuum. Opportunistic, all darkness requires is the absence of genuine light. A litany of Scriptures, as well as many of the greatest Christians throughout history, have observed that given Jesus identification of Christians as the light of the world and salt of the earth, we are largely responsible for any increase of darkness and decay. All the more when hundreds of millions of modern Christians are willing participants in, rather that radical resistors against, many if not all, of society's sins.

Charles Finney, noted as the Father of American revivalism was said to have paved the way for such notables as Dwight L. Moody, Billy Sunday, and Billy Graham. George Williams was converted by Finney’s writings and inspired to found the YMCA. William and Katherine Booth, founders of the Salvation Army, were also said to be heavily influenced by Finney. Attributed to be a leader, if not the chief architect, of America's Second Great Awakening, Finney emphasized the Christian responsibility for societal degradation most succinctly:

  • "If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it."

2. While called to be "alert, attentive, ready and prayerful" modern Christianity is anything but, the vast majority involved in gross doctrinal and/or lifestyle errors. Highlighted by issues including, but hardly limited to, Biblical illiteracy and prayerlessness, entitlement and worldlinessimmorality and abortionassumed salvation and cheep graceinadequate fellowship and inappropriate worshippresumption and even profanity.

While Jonathan Cahn's excellently executed message gave lip service to these facts, doing so constituted less than 5% of his talking points. Often using "we" more as a stand in for America than the American church. While filled with Scripture verses and metaphor, he never ventured near
Christ's harsher commands to Christians or Revelation's record of Jesus judgment of His Church. Particular the Church of Laodicea of which modern Christianity is most certainly the living embodiment.

3. Christ's directive to "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation" has all but fallen on deaf ears and hard hearts. Few things are as rare as regular and lengthly prayer meetings. Even while our generation inverted morality and aborted billions through clinical AND contraceptive abortion (abortifacients regularly used by Christians as frequently as non Christians yet not mentioned by Jonathan Cahn). And James 4 Prayer of Anguish gatherings as commanded by Scripture are nowhere to be found. Even with churches across the U.S. and the globe deemed nonessential and shuttered for months on end, we've yet to genuinely comply with 2 Chronicles 7:14 first of four mandatory conditions. To appropriately humble ourselves. Much less genuinely repent of our more obvious besetting sins of worldliness and entitlement. All this, while it's clear the emphasis placed on brokenness and pre-revival repentance, in both Old and New Testaments, is directed at God's own wayward people:

  • "You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." James 4:4-8 NIV

4. As Jonathan and others have pointed out in detail, many of America's founding fathers and documents honor God's power and plan, provision and protection. Even so, the spirituality of the United States has always been quantum in nature.

Even as many thousands of Christian participants filled the National Mall, they did so surrounding the Washington Monument. Both a beloved American icon
AND the world's tallest obelisk. Easily identified as an Egyptian occult and phallic symbol. Not to mention the All Seeing Eye within the Egyptian pyramid engraved on the back of the Great Seal Of The United States. Appearing above with the inscription that some have loosely interpret as "New World Order" and crowned with "Our Plans Have Succeeded."


One may well wonder what place does overt Satanic symbology have in the founding of a Christian nation? Particularly one often heralded by Christian leaders as directly ordained by God as preeminent, as well as prophetic type of Israel? Or as Scripture puts it:

  • "Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple?" 1 Corinthians 6:14-15 MSG
And what of Thomas Jefferson's Bible translation, purposefully excluding all accounts of Christ's miracles, including references to His Resurrection and passages asserting Jesus's divinity. As Wikipedia explains:

  • "The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth, commonly referred to as the Jefferson Bible, is one of two religious works constructed by Thomas Jefferson. The first, The Philosophy of Jesus of Nazareth, was completed in 1804, but no copies exist today. The second, The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth, was completed in 1820 by cutting and pasting with a razor and glue numerous sections from the New Testament as extractions of the doctrine of Jesus. Jefferson's condensed composition excludes all miracles by Jesus and most mentions of the supernatural, including sections of the four gospels that contain the Resurrection and most other miracles, and passages that portray Jesus as divine."
These, and many other concerns, question the overly simplistic City On A Hill foundational narrative use by Cahn and others. All the more so when America's place in Biblical prophecy so closely resembles that of Mystery Babylon. A case documented by the previously mentioned, Alive After The Fall Video. 5. Cahn is unquestionably correct that America has lost her way and opposes itself and the gospel of Christ. Yet rather than a new development, such enmity may have been present from the foundation of the nation as just discussed. Clearly, the hurricane of immorality making landfall in 1960's U.S. Sexual Revolution, has permeated every aspect of society, opened the floodgates of abortion, and has been globally promoted by Hollywood and America's pornographic industry. And along with wrapping the world in movies filled with occultism and gore, has "made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her immorality [corrupting them with idolatry]." Thus destabilizing the very foundations of Judeo-Christian society throughout the world.

6. Given the quantity and quality of America and the world's war on the pre-born, abortion is far more than just sin. Rather, it is currently the pinnacle sin of mankind. A sin through which we continue to summon not only God's justice and judgment but the Antichrist and Mark of the Beast. All forms of abortion, clinical AND contraceptive, abortifacients being the preferred method used by hundreds of millions of Christians, have three main objectives:

  • Abortion's Tertiary Target: Women and the reborn. Thankfully, there is ample Scriptural evidence to show all children go to Heaven. And while post abortive women can be forgiven, not nearly so lightly as modern Christianity maintains.
  • Abortion's Secondary Target: The institutions ordained by God to provide and protect society, particularly its most vulnerable. A primary individual and corporate Kingdom responsibility documented by Christ's story (not parable) of the Good Samaritan when asked the ultimate question, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
7. The "We" who stand at a crossroads, faltering between two opinions, Good or evil, Life or death, is not the U.S. but modern Christianity. Once the slaughter of millions of Christ's "least brothers" began in earnest, America's fate was sealed decades ago. Given the 60 year success of Satan's campaign of abortion against First World Christians, only unprecedented acts of pre-revival repentance, leading to nothing short of renewal, revival and reformation can save modern Laodiceans from Christ, Heaven's Revenger of Innocent Blood.

8. There are indeed divinely ordained parallels between Israel and America. These include many metaphors of extraordinary mercy and grace, as well as horrendous accountability and coming judgment. As Jesus warned, "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."

For example, here's a parallel rarely if ever noted. God graciously identifies with the needy. Divine love reaching its zenith in Christ's incarnation and humble life, ministry and miracles, crucifixion and atonement, resurrection and ascension, intercession and advocacy, second advent and millennial reign, defeat of Satan and eternally rewarding the righteous. An identification so complete that we are repeating told that loving one's neighbor fulfills God's entire law.

So how well do we treat each other? America and the world are filled with literally billons of daily acts of neglect and abuse, anger and outbursts,
temptation and deception, violence and murder... Add to this our having aborted 4-8 times the world's entire population in Christ's day, and by extension Christ. Have we not superseded Israel sins many times over? They rejected their Messiah and King a single time. We our Savior and Lord repeatedly. If so, our generation, and America in particular, may well replace Israel and its townships as the most despised in the generational judgment of which Jesus warned:

  • "The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here." Matthew 12:41-42 NIV
  • "Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for youAnd you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades. For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day. But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.” Matthew 11:20-25 NIV
  • "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar." Matthew 23:33-35 NIV
While abortion is far from America's only sin, it is currently the pinnacle. And while the aborted pre-born aren't "prophets and sages and teachers" they may well be martyrs in God's eyes. And while Israel did kill many, including the Messiah, America has killed tens of millions, including Christ's least brothers. Our most consummate neighbors. Two souls in the same body. While exporting this gospel of death across the world.

Another unfortunate parallel between Israel and America may be God's glory departing from His Temple. In reading Ezekiel's fearful account a subtle but substantial point is nearly universally overlooked:

  • "Then I heard him call out in a loud voice, “Bring near those who are appointed to execute judgment on the city, each with a weapon in his hand." And I saw six men coming from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with a deadly weapon in his hand. With them was a man clothed in linen who had a writing kit at his side. They came in and stood beside the bronze altar. Now the glory of the God of Israel went up from above the cherubim, where it had been, and moved to the threshold of the temple. Then the Lord called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side and said to him, "Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it." As I listened, he said to the others, "Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity or compassion. Slaughter the old men, the young men and women, the mothers and children, but do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary." So they began with the old men who were in front of the temple. Then he said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go!" So they went out and began killing throughout the city. While they were killing and I was left alone, I fell facedown, crying out, "Alas, Sovereign Lord! Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?" He answered me, "The sin of the people of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of injustice. They say, 'The Lord has forsaken the land; the Lord does not see.' So I will not look on them with pity or spare them, but I will bring down on their own heads what they have done." Then the man in linen with the writing kit at his side brought back word, saying, "I have done as you commanded." Ezekiel 9:1-11 NIV
While this passage contains a number of compelling insights, the following are most relevant to our day and age:

  • Here, as in so many Biblical passages, the message of God's judgment primarily concerns the behavior own His people.
  • The glory of God will not dwell, even in His own temple, when the righteous become wicked.
  • People of God perish when there is sin in the camp.
  • Prior to great judgment, God marks those who deeply anguish over the destruction of His people.
  • After decades, if not centuries of repeated warnings, God's judgment falls in such a way as to "destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem."
The term remnant is used throughout Scripture in a few different ways. One of which is to denote those with greater than average spiritual discernment and sanctification. If this holds true in the above passage, there seems to be a critical distinction between the remnant who are destroyed, and the remnant of the remnant who have fully entered into the protective crucible of the Prayer of Anguish.

. Truly genuine and appropriate repentance is our only hope of revival, and a return to the sanctification and power of the early Church as demonstrated by the Book of Acts. Whatever it takes. The question is, what will it take to move clergy and laity, leaders and members of modern Christianity into the crucible of James 4's Prayer of Anguish? And what kind message will best inspire acts of appropriate repentance for unprecedented worldliness and worse?

For such beings as we,
honest and heartfelt brokenness is both an event and lifelong process fully encompassing our mind, heart and will. Seen from this perspective, repentance is best expressed in the military terminology "Halt, about face, march!"

In his extremely well thought out and written book, 
A Long Obedience In The Same Direction, Eugene Peterson, the author The Message contemporary language version of the Bible, describes repentance in the following manner:

  • "The usual biblical word describing the no we say to the world’s lies and the yes we say to God’s truth is repentance. It is always and everywhere the first word in the Christian life. John the Baptist’s preaching was "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Mt 3:2 RSV). Jesus’ first preaching was the same: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mt 4:17 RSV). Peter concluded his first sermon with "Repent, and be baptized” (Acts 2:38 RSV). In the last book of the Bible the message to the seventh church is “be zealous and repent." (Rev 3:19 RSV).
Søren Kierkegaard, the brilliant 19th century Danish philosopher, theologian, poet, social critic, and religious author widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher argued that true Christianity is first and foremost a demand. "It is the deepest wound that can be dealt to a person designed to collide with everything on the most appalling scale." In short, faith is the passion of sacrifice and self-denial, a way of being in the world that suffers ridicule and persecution from the established order with its religious hypocrisy. For this reason, "The will of Christ is this: an examination in which one cannot cheat."

Kierkegaard also famously noted:

  • "The matter is quite simple. The bible is very easy to understand. But we Christians are a bunch of scheming swindlers. We pretend to be unable to understand it because we know very well that the minute we understand, we are obliged to act accordingly. Take any words in the New Testament and forget everything except pledging yourself to act accordingly. My God, you will say, if I do that my whole life will be ruined. How would I ever get on in the world? Herein lies the real place of Christian scholarship. Christian scholarship is the Church’s prodigious invention to defend itself against the Bible, to ensure that we can continue to be good Christians without the Bible coming too close. Oh, priceless scholarship, what would we do without you? Dreadful it is to fall into the hands of the living God. Yes it is even dreadful to be alone with the New Testament."



Social Media

Today's pulpits come in every shape and size. Platforms for preaching and teaching are only not found in millions of locations, but on billions of devices. Prior to COVID-19's institutional shutdowns, distance verse onsite participation was already growing in popularity. In 2020, the pace has accelerated exponentially. Zoom alone claims 300 million daily participants. Contributors and viewers of Facebook and Youtube, Instagram and Twitter cover the globe. According to Wikipedia, worldwide there are 3.6 billion social network users with 4.4 projected by 2025.


So many informed, and ill-informed voices, literally span every conceivable belief system and personal opinion. By popularity, if not design, they reinforce social stereotypes and the individual stories we tell ourselves.

Psychologists, and philosophers, cosmologists and even theoretical physicists have posited we are all part of and/or telling ourselves a story. With thousands of thoughts to sort through daily, this is hardly surprising. We need a way of organizing and dealing with our perceptions and emotions, attitudes and actions. As well as those of others. We also need to make sense of the precarious and fleeting nature of our mortal existence. Billions seek solace in religion. The wisest of these turn to the God of the Bible, thus raising two important questions:

1. With so many competing narratives vying for our attention, is there evidence the Bible’s authoritative?

2. How similar is our story to that of Scripture?

We’re born knowing bupkis. In time, via our senses and situation, once clean slates begin to fill with information demanding interpretation. As more stimuli is stored, by necessity its assimilation and consideration produces an individual’s sense of self or plot. Over time, interaction with the cares of life and the storylines of others augment and amend our own.

This has never been more true than today. Life within developed nations is not only overflowing with input, but trillions of dollars are spent to manipulate mankind as a marketable audience. Sadly, many of modern media’s most lucrative works are heavily laced with immorality and worse. Synergized by the 1960’s sexual revolution, such a strategy has revised the internal and external dramas of billions. In a single generation all but dissolving traditional bonds of family and friends. Too often in favor of the original sin of entitlement and Me-ism.

The rise technology and its availability, coupled with increasing political and spiritual problems, has created the perfect storm of true and false narratives. Billions play fast and loose with the truth. Others, more discerning, cast the dice regarding this or that sociopolitical and/or spiritual concern. Often with 50% accuracy or worse.

In a May 2017 Note to Self podcast discussing political polarization in pre and post election Trump era politics, Brooke Gladstone advanced the following explanation:

  • “Reality is kind of a fiction, in a way. That isn’t to say that facts aren’t real. That experiences aren’t real. That outcomes aren’t real… The reality that we live in day to day is an amalgamation of what we see and what we don’t see. And the seen and the unseen create the world that we dwell in. Because the world itself is too complicated and too vast for us experience. We have to apply filters in order to function… And it’s those filters and how we form them, that creates the reality we dwell in.”
Gladstone, a liberal progressive, does an excellent job unpacking the issues giving rise to the popularity of Trumpian values. Among them is the reinforcing of stereotypical mindsets and national worldviews shared by large voting blocks, reinforced through the instant availability of fine tuned social media. She continued:

  • “…it puts a responsibility on each of us to insure that we don’t fall pray to the seductions of, the word is homophily, you know, how we love our own. Birds of a feather flock together. And it’s so easy. And it creates a seamless bubble. We’re wired to create bubbles.”
While QC disagrees with much of the moral and social, philosophical and spiritual agenda of liberal progressivism, particularly in regards to faith and morality, the above insight is spot on.

Simply put, we are all telling ourselves a story. While insulated in a bubble. A bubble in which we are not alone.






UPDATE: Roe vs. Wade Overturned

To the joy of countless millions, on Friday 6/24/22 the landmark decision
Hobbs vs. Jackson by the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe vs. Wade. Thus auspiciously ending 50 years of national tyranny against 60 million pre-born.

Or at lease throwing the decision to allow mothers to continue conspiring with physicians to murder the offspring within their wombs back to America's 50 individual states...

Nor does it address the more subtle yet sinful and deadly issue of
contraceptive abortifacients, prevalent throughout society and modern Christianity.

While I now live in North East Texas, years ago I spent nearly 100 Saturdays at Central California clinics warning and imploring up to twenty girls a day to spare their babies. Via public parking constraints, forced to pass near I implored, “If God gives you the gift of a child don’t let anyone harm it” while handing them carefully explicit literature.

Often alone, sometimes there would be nearly a handful of us. On a good day, one or two mothers would listen and change their minds.

On many other occasions none at all.

As in Christ's end time parable of the
Sheep and Goats, there I discovered Jesus in His smallest and most innocent form. Totally dependent for “food” and “drink,” “naked” and “in prison” in the very womb of His mother. There I watched as He was repeatedly carried, “Like a lamb to the slaughter,” into a medical clinic. A most solemn and sorrowful scenario with grave spiritual ramifications.

One repeated in Fresno alone over 50,000 times.

In over two years I don’t recall a single member of the clergy or even lay leader joining us. Though I understand the odds may have somewhat improved through the influence of 40 Days For Life.

Only a fraction of fraction of a percent of ordained ministers have served as a director of a leading pro-life organization. Far less still have had the honor and responsibility to act as a leading liaison to over a thousand churches in state wide pro-life political initiatives.

With well over thirty years in
strategic Christian service, including more than a decade of pastoral ministry and pro-life activism, the author is privileged to belong to a select fraternity. This and other articles and books represent a culmination of this experience. Using such depth perception, this commentary is intended to introduce the true nature of the challenge presented by abortion. Particularly to modern Christianity.

During California’s 2005 Prop. 73 Parent’s Right To Know initiative I produced the pro-life political DVD entitled “Protect Me…Please” to be shown in hundreds, if not thousands of churches, prior to or on election Sunday. Groundbreaking, the 3 minute video featuring post abortive laments of teenage girls, made the front page of both the LA Times and San Francisco Chronicle. Prop. 73 failed by a narrow margin.

During the subsequent Prop. 85 initiative I achieved another milestone. For the first time, four leading Protestant state denominations, the
Southern Baptists, Assemblies of God, Calvary Chapel and Foursquare, officially endorsed a political initiative. Again Parent’s Right to Know (PRK) was defeated.

Our third attempt in 2008 with Prop 4. affectionately dubbed “Sarah’s Law” failed as well. More than
political, my involvement was spiritually motivated. After having spoken to thousands of Christians across denominational lines, it was clear that far less than 1% of either clergy or laity had the vaguest notion of the scale of abortion’s true threat to either the pre-born or the Church.

As a topical Biblical commentary,
Quantum Christianity was designed in recognition of the need to examine and handle truth carefully and honestly. Scriptural and otherwise. The nationalized legalization of clinical abortion, and its apparent overruling, presents a perfect case in point.

A faithful handling of the Old and New Testament requires would be students and adherents to develop
spiritual discernment on a variety of subjects crucial to Biblical Christianity. The lack of which has produced hundreds of differing denominations espousing various Christs and versions of the gospel. Tragically, many of the hopeful insights inherent in Christ's command to "Judge with righteous judgment" continue to go largely unrealized within modern Christianity.

Such is certainly the case when considering the American church's 50 year track record in regards to an appropriate response to abortion. Or more accurately, the lack thereof. Both clinically and
contraceptively.

Bear in mind that church attending Christians could have ended abortion in a single day, 365 days a year, for 50 years, by simply sending 1% of our congregations to have family friendly picnics in front of every abortion
clinic in America. With thousands peacefully blocking entrances, even should there be numerous arrests, the sheer numbers involved would shut down all abortuaries in a single day. With 99% more now authentically pro-life Christians waiting for a chance to join cause.

Yet nothing could be further from the case. Then or now.

Nor have we seriously addressed the widespread use of
abortifacient contraception throughout Christendom. A topic that many, if not most, churches and even pro-life organizations know or speak little about. Most often chemical in nature, early term abortions are a result of various forms of birth control and other devices. Abortions of this kind happen before the mother is aware of her pregnancy. The exact numbers are unknown. Some estimates suggest the daily total of these types of abortions may be surprising large. In the U.S. alone perhaps between 834,000 to over 4,000,000 per year (Dr. Bobmir Kuhar, Infant Homicides Through Contraceptives Pg 27.) Lower estimates range around 100,000 to over 1,500,000 annually (Randy Alcorn: Does the Birth Control Pill Cause Abortions? How Often Does the Pill Cause Abortions?)

Thus the compelling need to rethink Jesus' directive toJudge with righteous judgment should be abundantly evident.

But is it? Throughout the
Hobbs vs. Jackson decision by the Supreme Court celebratory posts and podcasts, sermons and ceremonies, is there any awareness of the reality of the seriousness our situation? Or brokenhearted repentance in light of the depth of our failures?

Are any of today's joyful messages cognizant of the Bible's repeated warning that God is not mocked.

  • Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. Galatians 6:7 AMP

  • For they sow the wind [in evil] And they reap the whirlwind [in disaster]. Hosea 8:7 AMP

Is our revelry tempered with the sobering fact that while abortion is currently the pinnacle sin of mankind, it's only the tip of the iceberg? One floating in a
Water World of immorality unleashed by the continual and increasing tsunami of the 60's sexual revolution redefining and/or eliminating traditional marriage and family.

These devilish sociopolitical engineering undoubtedly ushered in such modern woes as career felon George Floyd's sainthood and efforts to undermine criminal justice. Antifa and BLM riots and violence. CRT and orchestrated racial tensions. C19's plandemic and goal overreach. Medical interference and harmful vaccines. Woke agenda and transgenderism. Biden's malevolent war on Ukraine and America's economy. All part of the Great Reset.

And these are just the highlights. All coordinated and choreographed by the clearly visible and menacing Iron Triangle of liberal global politics, media and corporations.

Yet even now,
modern Christianity, up to and including the vast majority of Prophetic Christians, refuses to discern the clearly repeated handwriting on the wall. And having done so, to enter the crucible of James 4's Prayer of Anguish in hopes of James 5's reconciliation to, and empowerment by, God.

Particularly the Person of the
Holy Spirit, Whom we continue to annoy and grieve, if not profane and blaspheme.

Instead, across America, Laodicea is masquerading as
Philadelphia. Lauding the Supreme Court for Hobbs vs. Jackson while the highest court in the land continues to sidestep or support all the devastating atrocities mentioned above. Many of which modern Christianity has yet to Scripturally repent of, up to and including sins of clinical and/or contraceptive abortion. In regards to commission and/or omission.

Mankind’s
current pinnacle sin of abortion is spiritually quantum in a variety of ways. For example, it’s hardly just like any other sin. Even so, as with any other sin, it does require the event and process of genuine repentance. Like faith itself, honest and heartfelt repentance encompasses our entire mind, heart and will. As required by the previously mentioned passage in 2 Chronicles 7:14’s perfect formula for repentance.

For my part I've spent 40 years strategically seeking and serving God with a single focus:

As a Charismatic minister, with better than average understanding of Biblical truth, the journey led me to the following inconvenient truths

1. 1/3 of my doctrine was accurate.
2. 1/3 of my doctrine was in error.
3. 1/3 of the Bible's most crucial points were either undervalued or missing altogether.

Furthermore, I've found this sad equation is far more often the rule rather than the exception.

If there was ever an acceptable time to confuse Christianity with a
Cruise vs. Battleship, those days are past. As Paul warned: “And if the [war] bugle produces an indistinct sound, who will prepare himself for battle?” 1 Corinthians 14:8 AMP

The spiritual and sociopolitical foundations of America and Western Society have steadily been undermined since the 1960’s Sexual Revolution began reversing millennia of Christian morality. Followed by the decimating of traditional marriage and family through cohabitation and divorce. Culminating in the clinical and contraceptive abortion of 1 to 2 billion of Christ’s least brothers, 5-10 times the entire world’s population in Biblical days. A diabolic campaign of global temptation and deception destructively descending into militant homosexual and inconceivable transgenderism. A lost war against humanity, all but unfought by modern Christianity.

serious prayer meetings...

Furthermore, it should be abundantly clear the
Times and Seasons have drastically declined since 2020. Nationally and globally, the world has never scene the like of even the following short list:

This study was conducted Fall 2020, and could have helped prevent 3/4 of Covid deaths.

5. Campaigns of disinformation and destruction by the emerging Iron Triangle of liberal governments, legacy media and global corporations influencing and poisoning the hearts and minds of billions.

10. Drug cartel designer drug epidemic and death rate. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Carfentanil is a synthetic opioid approximately 10,000 times more potent than morphine and 100 times more potent than fentanyl. The U.S. government does not track death rates for every drug. However, the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention collects information on deaths involving many of the more commonly used drugs. Nearly 92,000 persons in the U.S. died from drug-involved overdose in 2020, including illicit drugs and prescription opioids. Up from less than 20,000 in 1999. Thats a 350% increase in 2020 with higher rates in 2022..

11. Escalation of US violent and property crime rates. Current odds are 1/178 that an American resident will be murdered during their lifetime.

12. Fuel and energy, transportation and economic crises created by faulty governmental policies and false media narratives.

13. Republican party is Controlled Opposition enabling Iron Triangle of liberal politics, media and corporations to deconstruct Judeo/Christian values. 12 Republicans declare "lawfare” on Christians by voting for so-called "Respect for Marriage Act" codifying federal support for homosexual marriage.

14. President Biden and Iron Triangle target Christian conservatives and/or MAGA Republicans as extreme and/or greatest threat to US.

15. Worldwide manipulation and control of all the above, as well as governments and economies, national budgets and banking, healthcare and communication, goods and services… by global elites implementing a Great Reset thus instituting a New World Order

Seaworthy Metaphors


With Hell to loose, and Heaven to gain, few questions in life are as important as where God draws the line in regards to Biblical Salvation. What does Scripture teach we must do to be saved? Is following Christ, the authentic Jesus, different in the the modern world than the 1st century?

When aboard a massive ocean liner, in certain respects it doesn’t seem as if you’re moving. Because you’re not, when judged by those around you aboard ship. To plot your course and speed, you need a waypoint off ship.

The same holds true for entire generations. There may be no sense of momentum, because we’re all aboard the same massive ocean liner. But actually, we may be moving at a rapid pace, into dangerous waters. Or in our case, questionable if not heretical doctrine and
worldly lifestyles.

As noted above, few recognize the growing gap between 1st century
Biblical Christianity and 21st century Modern Churchianity. Or even the requirements of salvation popularized by a pair of well known sermons by two of the primary architects of the 18th century First Great Awakening.

Jonathan EdwardsSinners In The Hands Of An Angry God may simultaneously be the most famous and infamous sermon of all time. Lightyears from the “cheap grace” of modern Christianity, it’s as interesting as it is a difficult read.

While not
religiously correct, the God of the Bible is simultaneously awe-full and awful, and should be approached as such. While Churchianity considers itself exempt from judgment, Jesus and His apostles tell a different story.

Fully grasping the message and exacting meaning of this sermon is crucial if we are to recover even a fraction of what has been lost. Beginning by developing living faith rather than presumption, whereby we assume salvation rather than seeking and serving God acceptably by means of serious sanctification and radical discipleship. All necessary foundational requirements should we realistically hope to experience Biblical Revival, much less Kingdom Reformation, in our generation.

Instead of reading
GodBlog's classic 18th Century version, we highly recommend downloading "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God: Updated to Modern English Kindle Edition" by Jason Dollar. It can be read for $2.99 on any device by downloading the Kindle app or simply on the Amazon cloud. It is a far easier and meaningful read when updated into modern language and format. The author also includes a balanced introduction and second sermon entitled "Love The Sum Of All Virtue" to present Jonathan Edwards in a more accurate light.

Nevertheless, reader be warned. When Edwards uses the phrase “Born Again” in the 18th century, it is not with the same flippancy as in the 21st, whereby we erroneously grant blessing to have our cake and eat it too. Doctrinally justifying continuing our pursuit of the Christian/American Dream, while living
mostly worldly lives.

To understand the difference, you will need a sermon by his contemporary,
John Wesley, founder of the once puritan Methodist Church, entitled "The Almost Christian.”

Another crucial consideration is that of the
Cruise Vs. Battleship analogy. While you won't find it taught in seminaries or churches, Conflict Theology is actually the underlying context of Scripture. Widely recognized for nearly two thousand years, the modern world long ago changed course, sailing far from puritanical definitions of repentance and morality, faith and discipleship and sanctification and holiness. The result has been the nearly wholesale substitution of assumed salvation for repentance, presumption for faith and inappropriate worship for sanctification.

Decades old, the increase of
temptation and deception, has resulted in a devilishly cunning strategy of incrementalism that over time has all but uprooted millennia of spiritual and sociological gains. Part and parcel of the dramatic and disastrous deterioration in the Times and Seasons in which we live, and vastly worse on the horizon. Evidence of the spirit of the Antichrist terraforming the entire planet for the beginning of Divine judgment and Great Tribulation.

If Christianity’s a cruise ship, sailing merrily from here to Heaven, then certainly Christ’s costly atonement is more than sufficient passage. The cross of Jesus is indeed all anyone could ever need. If however, Heaven and Earth are at war with fallen angels and devils, Christianity is a battleship and we must follow our Commander and Chief’s example and directives by daily shouldering our own.

Even if Christianity could be likened to a pleasure cruise, given
Churchianity’s collision course with so many modern temptations and deceptions, up to an including immorality and the blood red mountainous iceberg of abortion, in certain respects might even many well intended ministries be reduced to simply arranging deck chairs on the Titanic?

So is Christianity a cruise or gunship? We must decide. And do so quickly and carefully. Military directives and drills, cramped quarters and sea rations, would be absurd on a pleasure cruise. So too, civilian itineraries and activities, opulent suites and sumptuous banquets, would be anathema during a time of war
.
