Modern Proverbs
by Robert R. Pennington

Long before ever writing "
Heaven and Hell lie in thinking well" I was convinced of it. From understanding ourselves and each other to comprehending our Creator and place in creation wisdom is key.

Explicitly and implicitly mentioned thousands of times in various ways the Bible's jammed full of verses like this from Proverbs 4:
"Sell everything and buy Wisdom! Forage for Understanding! Don't forget one word! Don't deviate an inch! Never walk away from Wisdom—she guards your life; love her—she keeps her eye on you. Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom! Write this at the top of your list: Get Understanding! Throw your arms around her—believe me, you won't regret it; never let her go—she'll make your life glorious."

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

- Psalm 90:12 NIV

These include:

My hope is that together we can be more than the sum of our parts. Perhaps of thought of mine will spark a question or comment of your own. Many a thought I've had was born in the mind and on the lips of another. I greatly encourage you to write your thoughts down for purposes mentioned just to name a few.
