Great Messages and Sites

The sum of human knowledge is now just a click away. Categorized by topic and search engine optimized, all that mankind has discovered is now at our fingertips. Yet with 30 trillion pages on the web alone, where to begin?

We've compiled some of history's best sermons and teachings, along with today's most relevant insights, to provide a feast of information that's as easy to access as it is important.

Buy truth—don’t sell it for love or money; buy wisdom, buy education, buy insight.

- Proverbs 23:23 MSG

There's much to learn from the past. Messages that have stood the test of time provide more than just knowledge. They stand as lighthouses and waypoints with which we can navigate.

In many ways, philosophies and movements, societies and even entire generations think and act together. Like passengers at sea, it's hard to detect movement, speed and direction without landmarks to provide reference points. Imagine a multigenerational cruise. A generation born at sea would know little of land.

In the same way, many take little notice of incremental yet drastic changes having taken place in society over the span of a lifetime. While the technological tsunami has brought
unprecedented prosperity, it has also born us into uncharted waters, and in the process washed many of our most cherished values overboard.

Generations...

While advancements enhance the world in which we live, our spiritual state is deteriorating. The fallout of gross and subtle temptations threaten to overwhelm even seasoned veterans of the faith. Like a black whole, sin's gravity pulls the world ever nearer the brink of it's event horizon where even light cannot escape.

While the erosion is incremental, from a historical point of view its results have been rapid and devastating. Just glance back fifty years and it's shocking to note that a majority of today's religious conservatives think, act an live much like yesterday's liberals. And this during the evangelical age! Sadly, like the church of Ephesus, few can or care to remember the hight from
which we have fallen:

  • "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent." Rev. 2:5

Certain messages are timeless, ringing true down through the centuries. We believe the resources we've compiled provide not only spiritual GPS to judge our position, but also sailing instructions. With so much lost already, and with even more at stake, it's hight time to sound battle stations and gather all hands on deck.
